And Gabriel is too occupied with his kraken to stay embarrassed for long.
D'aww, squishy snuggles.
Eventually, though, he stands up again and gives the pond a little wave, still grinning like... well, a proud father.
"Bye, Spots," he says quietly.
"Bye, Daddy," the pond burbles, and the tentacles disengage from him to wave back before disappearing entirely under the surface of the water.
