Two hours later, Jamie is even more unsettled than he was when he awoke. Ethan had been pleasant and welcoming and Oh, please do consider this your home, which was a little strange in Jamie's opinion, as he was quite fond of the home he'd left behind. Furthermore, the man had been as adept at deflecting their questions as his sister, smiling brightly in the way that looked as if it was supposed to quash their concerns.

Unsettling.

Of course, the way Eleanor's hands had been treating his person under the table hadn't helped with his ability to relax.

This is all alien to Jamie, and now he's standing outside on the pretense of helping Eleanor retrieve her belongings from her bike, but really he just wanted to breathe and have a quiet word.
