There are about four soldiers in mirrored armour and a tall, slightly ominous looking man in rather battered and damaged black. The white scarf makes him look a little like some sort of very creepy clergy.

He's looking rather like he owns the place.

"Describe your survivors for me," Prior Reid sniffs, brushing past them, "I have on very reliable authority that there was a traitor to the Sith empire here. A thief, conman, smuggler, rebel and, most recently, mass murderer."

"Who's authority is that?"

Will is not letting any Sith come anywhere near Garo.

Kate drew herself up, and raised her bow.

"Doesn't matter, this is America, and people are allowed to seek political asylum here. So you have no authority."

The Sith soldiers raise their guns. Reid doesn't move.

"This planet doesn't have any government left. The Red Hand is claiming rule of this world in the name of the Sith-Mandalorian Alliance, and we must insist on removing somebody who is a threat to both you and himself, for your own safety." He's getting rather heated about it now. "A seer was brought to this world with us. She has looked into the Force and seen him here, which means he poses a threat to you."

"Nay, 'e doesna, ye'll na be takin' 'im."

Will moves into a defensive position with his sword, nodding to Kate.

"Yeah, you and what army? This world's not yours, and neither is our friend."

She got into a ready position, not firing until they did though. She just aimed for them.

"Now take your little boys back where you came from, and leave. He's under our protection."

"You're protecting a murderer." Simply.

"We're keepin' watch o'er a friend."

"We only have your word on that, and where's your evidence? Your warrant?"

"I am a prior of the Red Hand. I don't need a warrant," Reid sneers, tilting his head slightly. "I don't need evidence. Nevertheless, the fact that he is the sole survivor of the massacre at the execution grounds where he was about to be hanged is quite compelling."

"Could be 'e was tryin' to escape an yer men didna 'xpect 'im to fight as well as 'e did."

She levelly replied, "You're outside your jurisdiction. Now get out of here. This is your last warning."

Reid grins, a little, at Will.
"I daresay that's an accurate idea of events. However, it's illegal to resist officers of the law, let alone kill them." Long sigh. "I've tried to reason with you. Men, stand back."

In unison, the soldiers take several steps back, as the wind starts blowing.

A moment later, waterdrops, then snowflakes, then icicles form out of the air, revolving around in a whirlwind about him.

Two daggers of ice form in his hand, flying towards them.

Snow and ice were a bad choice and Will comes forward in a flurry of slashing blows with his broadsword.

Very bad indeed. Kate's eyes flashed bright blue, and she ducked away from the icicle as she moved back to fire arrows right for any breaks in the armor.

A wall of ice rises up, blocking off the arrows and the sword before pushing forward, creeping along the ground, spikes forming out of it as it moves towards them.

Will just hacks off the spikes, its ice after all and looks to Kate to see if she's well before pushing forward again,

"Come out from be'ind yer wall, ye coward!!"

Kate tensed and paled for a second. She then moved her bow back, and got out her silver sword to hack and kick the spikes, her expression pure fury and rage.

Ice isn't very durable, so the spikes go quickly, and after that, the wall.

Reid snarls, taking a step back and blowing out a wave of freezing air and frost.

Compared to other things Will has faced in battle, freezing air is not that scary and he gets close enough to do two major slashes at Reid.

Kate tensed again, and flinched at the freezing air, her expression briefly haunted.

But then she shoved that away to focus on the battle. She gave a yell of "Avengers Assemble!" and launched herself into the attending soldiers, slashing with her sword, and kicking them.

The soldiers scatter, surprised, falling backwards under the attack. Reid, for his part, finds himself with one long slash across his front, stumbling backwards as the ice dissolves around him and the temperature returns to normal.

"I'm not the only one here. I'm not even their best. They'll come for me, you know. Come to find me, and find him."

"A Locksley!!"

Will would answer but falling back isn't enough, this man wants to take Garo back and hang him, that won't be happening. So he follows up with more slashes.

"Then they'll deal with us and the triffids," She spat back, and punched out one of the soldiers, and swept her leg around to catch another by the knees to fall backward.

Another long gash, and Reid tumbles and falls, arms over his head.
"Stop, stop!"

Will's blade stills at Reid's neck,

"Oh aye, why should we?"

Kate paused, but remain tense and alert for any attacks back as she waited for an answer.

"I can give you information. On the others. And for what to look out for when he turns on you."

"Dinna wish for yer information, wish for ye to be gone!"

"Easy Will," Kate remarked, and then asked Reid.

"How do we know you're not lying to save your neck?"

Reid doesn't really have a good answer for that.

"I can't go back to them with nothing - I'm barely an initiate, they don't need me, they'll just do ... horrible things to me."

"Aye, like the 'orrible things they did to Garo."

The sword movies slightly so its not quite as threatening but still if Reid makes a wrong move, Will can strike.

"Tell them the triffids had him. He's not even here anyway."

"I'll tell them that. I will. Just let me be and I'll leave and I'll tell them that."

The sword is taken away from Reid's throat,

"Go quickly 'fore we change our mind."

"And take your trash with you. No littering," She snarked, and kicked one of the soldiers in the backside as she stepped away from them.

Slowly, Reid rises to his feet.

"Men, retreat." As he heads out the way he came.

Will watches them go, not daring to relax until they're out of sight.

Kate frowned, and then after they were gone, she glanced toward Will to make sure he was all right.
