Sokka (the one in red silk) is in the Cooper house's kitchen.
Sokka has been there most of the time, except when he wasn't.
Sokka is likely to remain there.
Also? He has mostly disassembled the toaster.
Nobody told him not to!

It probably wouldn't be a good idea to mention how she knows the scent so definitively.
no subject
She just looks like a person.
But okay! It's her house and one doesn't insult one's hosts.
"That's cool. What else can you smell?"
no subject
"All kinds of things!"
...Probably not a helpful answer, that, but at least she said more than three words in a row?
no subject
"...can you smell ... anything?"
Is she some kind of SUPER NOSE?

"What do you smell on me?"

"...I did ask," he mutters.
SOKKA IS DISPLEASED. PLZ NOT TO BE KNOWING STUFF ABOUT HIS FAMILY!
"Don't worry, I promise I'll put everything back together just exactly how it was! Or better!" Bright-faced again. But not asking anything else about what she knows, because she's creepy and wrong >( >(

Well, now she's not creepy and wrong, she's just someone who's lost their sister.
Sokka sort of knows how that feels and really, really hopes his Katara is somewhere and okay and not missing him too much and --
"...oh."
He's eloquent like that.

The smell of not-with-family is clear enough now for her to distinguish not-with-sister, and Lucy knows what that's like.
...At least Katara's not dead?
no subject
What do you say to someone-without-a-sister? Someone without multiple sisters?
Sokka flails mentally for a moment.
"...Do you want some toast? I can fix it up!"
no subject
"I like toast," says Lucy shyly, accompanying this revelation with a tentative smile.

Amazing how that works.

Or, y'know. Would be, if he had any idea he had been edible.
(He probably tastes delicious.)

"Would you like yellow stuff on it?" He means butter. Butter's new.
"Or orange stuff?"
Marmalade.
"Or both?"
Click-click-click-click TOASTER.
no subject
Mmm, chocolate toast.
no subject
"What's chocolate?"
no subject
A spoon is retrieved from a drawer; Lucy unscrews the lid of the (half-empty) Nutella and digs out a spoonful, which she passes to Sokka with Much Solemnity.
"Chocolate."
The implication is, of course, 'try some!'.

...this is the boy who licked the wall of a cave. Like he's gonna hesitate.
OM NOM NOM
"................spirits, that's good! What is it made of?"
no subject
And then points to the ingredients list on the jar.
Helpful Lucy!

... Sokka can't read this writing.

"...um, what language is this?"

In an o_oish sort of voice.
