Sokka is perfectly happy with life right now. He and Claire and Toph are set up just far enough away from the farm to have privacy, and close enough to help out with chores and share food; nothing has attacked them for a long time now; and of course, he has Claire.
Claire is the best part of this world. Obviously.
At the moment, he's in the kitchen, looking for the ghost; it doesn't seem to be here, and so Sokka can raid the fridge without guilt.
