Barbara had fully intended to meet up with Innovator and this Sam guy when the Aerie One landed, but there had been a little dispute over control of one of her satellites. Apparently some warlord in Asia felt that since he had paid for launching the thing before whatever happened happened, he should keep it. Which wasn't really a problem, but at least one or two of his tech guys had some real training and she'd spent nine straight hours keeping them out of the system.
She'd won, of course.
And now she's leaning back in her chair breathing deeply and seriously considering some coffee. The fight and victory were exhilarating of course, but they'd thrown her way off schedule.
