Gravity.
Sunlight.
A two-foot drop onto asphalt.
Shaking his head in a vain attempt to clear the spots from his-- eye, Neil sits up. Then he winces, because bruised ribs are nobody's friend.
His blurred, flash-blinded vision tells him he's in some kind of parking lot. Everything looks beat up, run down, and old.
