Sometimes you need something to do.
Will has found something to do that makes him feel useful, he's building snares and traps since there must be rabbits and such around here and until his back is better, archery doesn't make sense.
The tree he was sitting in before has become his place on the farm, he can see the road and the house and just work without being in anyone's way.
