Tom is pleased with himself: he has a knife. It's a switchblade. It's cool.
And he's walking - actually, jogging with a few glances behind him - back from Smallville around the time decent people should be asleep, too. His knife is up his sleeve. He has two six-packs of beer.
He's whistling as he makes his way back to the farm. This has been a good night.
