(no subject)

Relax ladies, he's a man, and he's got the tool. Er...tools that is. Or he would if he could find some handy to get working on fixing up the supports of the farmhouse and surrounding buildings. Also make sure the earthen rooms were well secured against a cave-in. So Xander was currently on the hunt for a toolbox, toolkit, toolbelt...something. Where's a home improvement store when you need one?

(ooc: Like Kate's post, this post is open to tags to whenever.)

Lucy beams at him.

"Don't worry."

She doesn't mind. Someone has to talk, or this conversation won't be much fun, now will it?

Headtilt.

After much ponderation, she shakes her head slowly.

Nope.

Still smiling a little, she holds out the bowl. Does Xander want a pomegranate seed?

"Pomegranate."

Silly Xander, not knowing what pomegranate seeds look like.

Nod.

Grin.

Yes, Xander. Yes it is.

Speaking of which--

"I'm Lucy."

This whole making-friends thing is easier than it looks.

...not that he doesn't still look rather tasty to her other self's eyes.

Blinking, Lucy scarfs down a few more pomegranate seeds and tries her best for a smile that says I do not view you as lunch, no really.

Her grin turns from slightly demonic to slightly shy, and she offers, "My house."

At least she's finally stopped thinking of it as Anne's house, because that would be a rather awkward conversational topic.

"Isn't any."

Which is true, if you can decipher it. Anne Cooper knows her way around structural stability well enough to protect all of Kansas from dimensional anomalies. Her house is much smaller and easier to reinforce; it's not falling down anytime in the next century.

But.

"Thanks," anyways, and a grateful little smile.

And--

"Maybe that has some?"

Pointing to the earth bunker, which is a post-Anne fabrication and thus subject to all the normal structural weaknesses of human-made architecture.

Lucy beams.

Two thank-yous in one minute is going a bit far, but there is gratitude in the nodding, and she offers him the pomegranate seeds again.
