Hades is slowly starting to be able to recognize the difference between a local and a 'newcomer.' This one?

She's new.

And she's got interesting connections, from what Hades can perceive-- not much, yet, he's still getting in the groove of this world. Once he's got an established Underworld going, things'll be easier.

"So what cheesed you off today?"

Normal people would not so much approach the frustrated-seeming twelve-year-old. But then normal people don't have heartbeats and respiration that's quite so... even. The man who approaches Toph is in preternaturally good health, particularly for a world like this.
