SURPRIES EARTHQAKE -- and, like the most recent appearance of her husband, it's felt all over the world. A good thing it's not the Big One, eh? As bad a shape as this world's in, it doesn't need large masses of land breaking off into the ocean.

The cause of said earthquake can be seen...well, everywhere (if you just look down), but in humanoid, corporeal form (as a curvaceous Iranian woman) she's someplace that looks an awful lot like Adam's Morgan in Washington, D.C., if it weren't for the, y'know, being utterly ruinated part.

A shame. One of her favorite restaurants was here. Several, in fact.

Good thing she doesn't really need to eat.

"Was that really necessary?" Mort admires the newest addition to the gods of Shatter from his residence in a nearby window. "This world has suffered quite enough, you know."

Gaia looks up at the man quizzically. "Eh?"

"The earthquake dear." The dull little mans eyes flash silver for a moment.

"Oh, that." She shrugs. "What the hell happened to Adam's Morgan?"

Mort presses his hand against the window, peering in. "According to what I have seen, it was some kind of moving statue. Or possibly a cthonic deity."

"--I didn't do it," she says quickly. "I just showed up here."

"Yes, I am well aware my dear." He offers her the glimmer of a smile. "I see all."

Gee, patronizing much? "So you saw the 'quake coming, too."

She knows he did; she's just fucking with him.

No, not patronizing at all. Just polite. "Of course." A slight lie. He can only see whats going to happen factoring in those already here. She wasn't yet here, so he couldn't know she would cause an earthquake.

"I actually am out and talking to you." He raps his fingers on the glass. "My domains are prophecy and reflection. An unfortunate side effect confines me to the second realm except under extraodinary conditions."
