Scully was on the farm, having got some sleep in her room in the bunker. She had got sick again when she woke up, and has been slowly sipping on water to keep hydrated. Also eating lightly to calm her stomach. It was still the first trimester so she knew that part was pretty normal. Even if she worried about some of the circumstances of her pregnancy. She was now sitting down outside, with a cup of water in hand to sip.

She peered at that familiar spot on the back of the girl's neck.

"...Another hybrid."

"Yeah."

She turns back around.

"One of the first."

"The first?" She studied her much more intently now.

"The first successful ones," she says, sitting on the ground.

"...My god." As she realized what that meant, and her hand clutched at her belly worriedly again. Wondering about her own child.

"We're not all --"

She trails off, brings her knees up to her chest.

"-- here, at least. Things are different. There's nobody here."

And the ones who are... they didn't want to hurt her. They just finished the process.

"Nobody? Not even the bounty hunters? Other abductees?" Smoking sons of bitches who should have died years ago?

She looks at the ground.

"When I first got here, I wasn't -- they didn't finish. About a week ago, I felt... I went into the forest over there. Felt like I had to. And then I came back like this."

"You metastasized? Manifested into this now?" Briefly thinking of poor lost Emily, her hybrid daughter.

She nods.

"But I'm... okay."

I think.

"...You don't sound that sure."

A pause, and then: "You weren't, either."

Scully stared at her, and then remarked, "...Not sure if I ever was."

"Yeah.

It's nice to have someone here, now, though."

"It is," She agreed, as odd as the circumstances were. But it meant she was much further away from wherever Mulder had been taken. How could she find him now in this half-dead world?

Lenore falls silent for a few moments.

"... are you new here?"

She nodded, "It's only my second day. I arrived yesterday in Nevada."

"Oh. Welcome to Kansas, then," she says, sounding a little less than excited.
