The thing about the desert it is all looks the same after a while. One man and one horse plodded along almost aimlessly for it was a path they had been on for many days. From the dunes of sand to the hard packed ground, Carter was certain that they should have reached the camp by now. They should have reached it days ago. A sand storm had sprung up, yes, but his mount knew the way.. he knew the way back to King Richard's camp. Just something wasn't right about all of this.
Raising his hand he wiped at his dirty face with the sleeve of his tunic. He barely seemed to notice as sand gave way to grass and the clop of his horses hooves grew dimmer. Maybe he thought he was dreaming things- could well have been from all that Carter could remember since he began his ride. Closer and closer the horse prods along toward the Cooper farm only stopping when his rider toppled over to the side and laid there unmoving.
Welcome to the Shatterverse, Joseph Carter.

After a moment of peering at the horse and downed rider, she moves towards the pair slowly, trying to avoid spooking the horse any more than she's likely to.

(She hopes it's not the infrequent-yet-still annoying dragonslayer kind.)
"Hello?" she finally asks, her ears pricking forward. Carefully-very carefully-she reached out with one forefoot to nudge at Carter.

It was a laugh worthy scene to be sure even if the horse was eyeing the dragon like he was about to be dinner.

"Where am I?" the Englishman asked hoarsley, swallowing hard and dry.

Asking her why she sounds so authoritative on the last subject might not be the best idea at the moment.

It's getting closer.
Closer.
CLOSER!

Hopping about with one foot up he's muttering to himself in Arabic with English thrown in every once and a while. Totally unsuspecting of adorable small pinkish-purpleish blobs coming his way. Pre-occupied Carter is pre-occupied.

It does have a face, if you're willing to stretch the definition, and those two tiny buttonlike eyes are examining Carter closely.
...And now they're two blue, human-looking eyes, blinking at him out of a face that looks remarkably like his own.
Thank God that Ditto can apparently do clothes?

"What...are you?"

Hey, now it has a whole five syllables to play with! :D!

Had to be. He couldn't see any water.

"What are you and where did you come from!"
Look! It can say them in order...
"Where you are what come and from did you!"
...and out of it!

"Where is here? Why do you speak so oddly?"

Then he turns and sees the red cross of a templar. He freezes, seeds in his hands and not sure what to do.

Upon spotting Will he stops with his head tilting to the right a little. Finally a human to speak with! Well..maybe. After the first two encounters he wasn't to sure. So turning his foots toward Will he slowly approaches, raising a gloved hand in greeting.

"Day, milord an welcome to the Cooper farm."

Squinting his eyes a little be studied Will before offering a sly smile. "Do forgive me for asking but my first to meetings were not of the manly sort of nature."

Of course he didn't know all the names of the outlaws or even how many there had been when he was sent to..ah..kill Robin. Things, thankfully, turned out for the better.

"Was me 'onor to be one o''is men, milord, but 'ow would a Templar be fightin' beside 'im?"
