Will is in one of the fields outside, doing his best to get the farm running again.

The weather is nice so his shirt is off and it feels good to have the sun on his back though he's still stiff.

Will hears her jogging and at first thinks it might be Kate so looks up with a smile and then blinks,

"Fair day, milady."

"Y- yeah. Um, 'afternoon." Awkward curtsey-thing that would work better if she were wearing a skirt, or really anything on her legs.

"...figured there had t'be someone workin' on things here."

He is looking firmly at her face,

"Mel did 'er best to be sure we were all workin' is all, milady."

And she notices and appreciates this.

"Oh, yeah... I'm s'posed t'be doin' stuff on the building team. Like, haulin' and all that.

"Not much call out here for my line, just now."

"Oh aye, milady an what's yer line as ye said? Forgive me manners, I'm Will Scarlett."

"Oh, yeah. Sonia. Belmont. Same here." She'll figure out manners eventually.

"I hunt demons."

Will stands a bit straighter at that,

"Demons, milady, must be a dangerous business."

As he stands, his own scars are a clearer since they stand out white against his tan.

She nods, stonefaced. "What my family does.

"What about you? Not just farmin'?" She eyes his scars, trying to guess what they're from.

"Served Robin o'Locksley in Nottingham, milady."

whoosh

That would be the sound of the reference soaring over Sonia's head.

"Um... like a squire, I guess?"

"Aye, milady, as 'is squire. I'm from an earlier time than most 'ere."

She brightens. "Really? When?"

ARE YOU FROM BEFORE THESE "CAR" THINGS? BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE PRETTY COOL.

"Reign o'King Richard the Lion'earted, milady."

whoosh again.

"...oh. Um, I'm from Year of Our Lord 1450..." IS THAT THE SAME THING?

"Oh aye, milady, I'm from year o'our lord 1190."

Boggle.

"That's a long way back."

She's about to ask if there's something Special about him for being able to live that long, but then she remembers that no, that doesn't even make sense.

"Must be even harder for you, here."

"Aye, tisna easy but do me best, milady."

"Guess that's all you can do..."

Hm. "Need any help there? I don't know much, but..."

"Think I'm doin' well 'nough, milady. Thank ye though, should be askin' the women in the farm'ouse, they know best."

"Oh. Um, all right." She scratches the back of her neck.

"Guess I better keep goin' then. Um, I'll see you around."

Will blushes and runs a hand through his hair,

"Forgive me, milady for me bad manners just get unsure is all."

She turns and gives him a kind of half-smile. "It's all right. I know the feeling.

"Besides, better'n what I got a lot back home."

"Oh aye, milady."

"Um."

Well.

"I guess... if y'ever wanna, y'know, spend time with someone that don't know all this new stuff, I'll be around."

If, y'know, you want to be friends. IT'S OKAY IF YOU DON'T TOO NO PRESSURE
