Intuition is in the Cooper household kitchen, celebrating her recent acquisition of an actual bed with a pineapple and a grin.

Unfortunately, Virginia Gray was a great believer in the policy of prevention-by-outlawing-the-very-subject. If there are interesting things to be done with tongues, Gabriel was never made aware of them!

Fortunately, the boy is not without an imagination.

Is it possible to do tongues shyly? Answer: yes.

Is it possible to beam so hard you nearly explode and still do tongues (shyly, because the concept of these two having a sharply distinct emotional state just doesn't work anymore)?

Take a guess. Go on.

Strange. Gabriel would always have assumed that various internal organs doing simultaneous backflips would have had some negative effect on your health. But apparently not!

So long as his lungs don't sieze up entirely, he could get used to this!

...He takes an embarrassed moment to keep his hands from wandering.

Oh hey, potentially wandering hands!

Inty's all good with those, honestly.

(It's nice to have the kind of relationship where you know these things without having to ask, or even think of the question in the first place.)

But wandering hands are going a bit far, aren't they? They're all... physical and stuff?

(It is! He'd bet they're the only people in the world -- in ANY world -- who have that. It's one of the many things he loves about her. One of the many, many things.)

(It's one of the many things she loves about him, too - this exchange, like no other anywhere; this ability of his to see her the same way she sees him. Like equals. Inty doesn't often get equals.)

And hey, if his hands aren't going to go wandering anywhere, hers might just have to wrap around his waist. Cuddling's totally not going a bit far, after all.

Gabriel squeaks a little. Curséd lungs, why do you fail him in his hour of need?

He moves forwards slightly (never mind that they're practically touching already), pulling her closer, quite decidedly NOT breaking the kiss. That's in the category of things he is NOT doing ~~possibly EVER~~.

Moving forwards is good, oh yes it is.

So is hugging him.

And not breaking the kiss - because, yes, List Of Things That Are Not Happening Anytime Soon.

It's so nice when two people's wishes accord so closely, is it not?

It is very nice indeed!

(...Getting nice enough to be Not Allowed. Ah. He tries to ignore it, but once the thought's there ~~sounding suspiciously like his mother~~ it refuses to be smoothed over. Gabriel wonders if it would be too much to ask for his brain to shut up for ten minutes at a time.)

It apppears to involve cuddles.

The oral onslaught ~~if it quite deserves to be called that~~ is lessened somewhat -- sorry, Inty -- in favour of the chaster, more socially acceptable chewing of one's own lip. Plus a blush that envelops not only his cheeks but what feels like his entire body from the waist up. Nothing kills a mood quite like a mental mother looking over your shoulder and making horrified faces.

Whoops.

She hugs him tight and rests her head against his chest (golly, he's tall), and sends - love. Endless love, the Inty way: absolute, unconditional and without hesitation, bound up in a veritable fountain of bright-shining glee. Gabriel makes her happy. Even when he's overshadowed by his mother's foolishness. (Because how can anyone disapprove of what they share? It's pure and wholesome and good; it brings nothing but joy.)
