Being chased by pirates sucks.

Doing so when you sorta didn't ask permission from your mother to barrow her ship makes it suck even more.

But, to top it all off, the flashes of light that blind your eyes and make you lose a good couple minutes by trying to fight the ship right side up, makes the situation so kriffed up that it wouldn't be a good story to get out of trouble with. Unless said person's parents were there to witness it.

So here, Kansas, have a crashed Moldy Crow with it's very own pilot who is rubbing at her brow with a gloved hand standing infront of her ship. "Oh man..mom and dad are gonna kill me for this!"

"All right then, Sam Rand," she replied with a little sloppy smirk of a girn. "What planet are you fro...om.."

Something in the Force tingled a little causing her gaze to shift past Sam and somewhere to the...south? No. West. No..somewhere in between. Growing interestingly quiet she oldest Katarn child started to chew on her bottom lip.

Sam swings about to peer in that direction too, frowning a little.

"I think we better get going- storm coming in." If he asks she'll point to the sky and mutter something but until then, well, thats all he's getting. She's trained but not that trained you see.

Moving away from standing at the front of the Crow she starts to move toward the open side hatch.

"You know, I totally have a much quicker way of getting to the bestest settlement around here."

Beat.

"You'll have to leave the ship, though." Abandoned, away from anybody who might defend it as he takes it apart.

Not that Sam thinks like that, of course.

"She can fly," Alyssa points out, eyeing Sam again with a suspicious little squinty-eyed look. "Low, of course, but she can make it. Dad took her through a lot worse when those Sith were holding mom."

Standing in the hatch she turned, leaning against the side with her arms crossing. "You afraid to fly with me?"

"I can fly without a ship." Brightly.

Alyssa snarked a laugh. "Well then you lead and I'll follow? I'm not leavin this ship behind..."

Yes that was a slight tightning of her eyes and lips going into a little frown.

"But if you do that, I can't strip it parts." Solemnly.

Oh that wasn't very nice.

A hand twitched down to rest upon one of the two sabers that hung from her belt. "You aren't stripping the Crow for parts." Course it might have been said a little to cooly but she ment it.

Her ship, damnit!

Well..her mom's ship! Damnit!

"But ... I really want to." Reasonably.

Yes that is a piece of something rather hard being thrown at Sam. Maybe a tool or something like a hydro-spanner that is broken. "No!" Stomping inside she paused, stomped back, and stuck her head outside.

"Now you coming or not."

Sam dodges, before shrugging and wandering over towards the ship.

Stepping back inside she shifted some things around, scraping sounds of metal on the floor of the ship and the sounds of doors opening. "Come on in," she calls out from somewhere toward the nose, "Can ride back there or with me either one."

A hand waved from the direction of the cockpit even if Sam wasn't inside or not. She had a feeling he might join her inside though.

Sam peers about as he wanders along, making his way to the cockpit.

The sound of the craft engines roar to life as the door leading outside closes. "Might want to strap yourself in, you know, since you won't be taking her for parts and stuff." Giving a winking smile up at Sam she looks back to the sensors and whatnot.

She knows what she's doing. Really.

"How far away are we from this place?"

"Not far. This entire place, Kansas, is protected from new arrivals, but I'm guessing that, y'know. Big ship, moving fast, you got brought in close and propelled over the border." Shrug. "Either way, not far to go at all."

The Crow groaned and poped as she was guided up off the ground, raising off the ground before taking off into the air away from where this 'shield' might have been. Skillfully she guided the craft back around facing toward the north. "I'll fly you guide?"

"Sure." Beat. He points. "That way."
