Lawrence, Kansas, is not a spectacular town. It does not have neon lights pointing to it detailing "EVERYTHING IMPORTANT IN THE WORLD TO BE FOUND HERE". Given the recent Apocalypse, it doesn't even have lights. Or people anymore, for that matter.

Still, it's home.

And what's more, that's home. Once she started recognizing landmarks, Dianne began leading the way, and lead she did- directly to an innocent, perfectly ordinary if slightly broken-down home. She pulls the Impala into the driveway (which could use some re-paving, to be honest), and steps out, stretching, and waits for Faith.

Sam is smirking now.

It's not fair, him sneaking around and getting older like that.

Sam ruffles her hair again.

Sam starts walking toward the house, still carting her around.

"I like this having-a-sister thing."

The flailing and the kicking may look undignified, but let's face it, nothing about this is particularly dignified.

"I mean it!"

Beat.

"Hey, are you ticklish?"

Oh Dianne. Have you forgotten what having a brother is like? Because it's pretty much like this.

She lies well.

That pause is where she goes into involuntary spasms of laughter, which has the side effect of making her flailing and kicking efforts rather more abundant.

Now Sam remembers why he never did this with Dean.

"Ow," he says mildly, and sets her down, then kisses the top of her head before she can do anything to him.

Sam, apparently, has decided to keep her.
