Her recent conversation with 'The Innovator' convinced Babs that she had put off setting up a global broadcast system for far too long. She had gone on a caffeine binge shortly after and now, after a few days with almost no sleep, she's finished.

With a final few keystrokes her salvaged network of satellites and radio stations begin broadcasting her digitally masked voice: "This is Oracle broadcasting on and monitoring all available frequencies. If you are receiving this message, please respond."

The system loops the message and constantly monitors for responses. There may be pockets of survivors out there, and if so then she definitely wants to know about them.

"Before showing up here two weeks ago? I was out on patrol, Batman had sent me out for a solo flight, and then, there was this bright light, and bang, here."
Steph lays back, staring up at the ceiling. She's got that ceiling memorized, she does.

"Wait..." Barbara is very seriously frowning now. "Two weeks?"

[Do you want Babs to be able to trace Steph's location for pickup?]

"Yeah? Is, uh, that a bad thing?"

((Sure thing!))

"No... just..." Two Stephs. Just what she needed.

"How are you fixed for supplies? I'm running a location trace on your radio signal and I can probably get some transport headed your way soon. How long can you hold out where you are?"

"I've still got-" Stephanie rolls over the bed, peering into the kitchen. "A whole lot of twinkies. And canned food. I don't know the people in this town, but they sure loved their beans. I'm set for a while, even if it isn't a comfortable while."

"Okay, I've got a fix. Any idea what you're doing in Canada?" Babs shakes her head, "Never mind, I'm sure you don't."

"Have you had a chance to look around the area? Is there anywhere I could have a plane land or will we need to come up with something else." The Doctor had offered to put the TARDIS at her disposal, this might be a good place to use that.

"There's a flat plain on the outskirts of town, but it's pretty icy." See? She did do her recon work.

"Then the Aerie One is probably a no-go. Not that Zinda wouldn't insist she could land on ice, but I've only got the one plane." She nods to herself, "Let me nail down your coordinates and I'll see about arranging some transport for you."

"Thanks Oracle, I can't wait to get back to Gotham and to work. It's been really, well, dull here." She lays back down on the bed, glad to have someone to talk to. "I mean, the cable doesn't even work out of here, and internet is nonexistant."

No, she still hasn't figured out something is really wrong.

"I'm afraid you won't be heading back to Gotham," Barbara says heavily.

"Huh?" Stephanie turns that one over in her head, and can only come up with one answer. "Am I being traded?"

"It's a bit more complicated than that," Barbara explains. "The short version is that you've hopped worlds, and here we've already lost Gotham."

"Okay, run that by me one more time, but make it make sense." Cause from here, it doesn't.

"You weren't kidnapped," Barbara elaborates. "You somehow got sucked through an inter-dimensional portal and dumped into this world. It's just your bad luck you seem to have landed in the middle of nowhere in Canada."

"Well."

That's, uhm... Yeah, Steph never got into any of the REALLY weird stuff like this, so she's really without any kind of comparasion.

"Does, uh, this kind of thing happen often?"

"Here it seems to. Not back home as far as I know, but there are a lot of universes out there to pull stuff from. Chances are you and I aren't from the same one, but are from ones that are close enough that we know alternate versions of ourselves."

Babs shakes her head, "I wouldn't worry about it. You'll need some time to settle before you try to wrap your head around it anyway."

"..."

"..."

" Kay."

"Just stand by where you are. I'll have transport headed your way soon."

"All right. And, thanks."
