Sam's poor, tousled head is all filled up with angst at the moment.

He's a few streets away from the house they're all staying in, perched on somebody's porch, drinking a purloined beer and thinking Very Deep Thoughts.

"Tell me about that time with the fairy tales."

"This guy's kid was in a coma and he was reading a book of fairy tales at her bedside, and she was making them play out in the real world. These three overweight brothers - the three little pigs - got mauled, two of them killed. A husband and wife went into an old woman's house, and the man was killed but the woman shoved the old lady into a stove - Hansel & Gretel. A woman's stepmother attacked her and handcuffed her to her stove - Cinderella. She did Little Red Riding Hood, too. Turns out the girl was doing all this to tell her father that her stepmother put her in a coma. Poisoned her by making her swallow bleach."

"That's fucked up, dude."

"That's life."

Sam snorts, almost amused.

"One time I thought we were Hunting an evil Santa, but it turned out to be a pair of Pagan gods."

Doubtfully, "Well, there's enough room for two of them in that suit."

Sam laughs, quietly, and looks over at her with a very fond expression on his face.

"I kind of think I love you."

For a Winchester that's quite the show of emotion, right there.

Headsmack.

(A loving one!)

"Don't go chick-flick on me here, Sammy."

Sam raises his eyebrows.

And hugs her.

And then....gasp, shock....KISSES HER HAIR.

"Take that."

AUGHFLAIL.

"What the hell's gotten into you?"

"I was in a really, really bad mood and you made it better. Ergo, hugs. Deal with it."

Augh.

She wriggles out of the hug.

Augh.

"Couldn't you just tell me that?"

Augh.

"Well, I guess, but where would the fun be in that?"

Headsmack.

Sam is unperturbed!

He just beams at her.

Sweetly.

Woefully, "You're screwed up in the head sometimes, you know that?"

"Part of my charm."

"Yeah, you wish."

And now, it's time for Puppy Eyes By Sam Winchester.

Beat.

"Sam."

"Hm?"

Voice of Authority time.

"Stop that."

Tragic Puppy Eyes.

Of DOOM.

And Patheticness.

Sam is really pushing his luck.

Yeah, he really is.

He gets a headsmack again.

"I'm really starting to like doing that," she remarks cheerfully.

"Ow."

Sam sighs and kisses her cheek.

"I'm going to start doing that every time you hit me."

Glare.

He's taking all the fun out of it.
