OK, on the one hand, the dark is kind of scary.
On the other hand, the plant monsters are a lot more scary.
Thus, Mudkip is sticking to the underground, where there are no plant monsters.
Possibly other things, though, lurking in wait for a somewhat on-edge blue salamander-sort-of-thing.
