Will and the artist formerly known as NamelessGuy Garo ('Ro? Gar? Is not easy to make nicknames of such things) have arrived in New York, having been ferried by Nathan.

'Ro, for his part, is staring with rather childlike wonder at the city. The countryside was one thing, but this 'city' is tiny to him.

"S'small." Brightly.

"Sleep first, see if there are beds 'bout."

He strokes her hair and face, he still can't quite believe this is real.

She thought about it, and then yawned, "Eh, probably right. Saw a couple set of stairs, maybe there's beds there."

She started up the one side, which happened to be the girls dormitory. Which meant a little surprise if Will follows her.

He's got a hold of her hand so he does follow her up,

"Oh aye, that'd be nice."

In that case as soon as he goes to step on the stairs, there was a loud alarm, and the stairs abruptly turned into a stone slide to send them tumbling back down onto the floor, and tangled together.

"...Ow, you ok?" Kate asked, as she flipped through the book, trying to figure out what the hell they just triggered.

"Bloody 'ell, what's that?"

He's a little sore and hugs her as he checks her over for bruises.

There were a few, but not too bad. Luckily they hadn't gotten very far up yet.

"Dunno, hopefully there's something about it in here." She skimmed through the contents, and then found a passage.

"............How backward can you get? Like anybody's going to try anything?"

She sighed and facepalmed, "Uh, Will? You can't go up those stairs it looks like. You're a guy, and it looks like it leads to the girls dormitory. Says it's enchanted to do that anytime a boy tried to go up as a protective measure. I don't see anything about the boys dormitory stairs being like that though. Apparently girls could be trusted more than guys."

"What a mess, shall we try the other stairs or just sleep down 'ere?"

Since he's not going to sleep without her in his arms.

"Let's try the other steps then. Should be some beds up there." She helped him up to the other set of stairs.

He goes first and eyes the steps warily.

"Just take a step and see."

"Aye, right." So he starts walking up the stairs.

She then walked up with him, and remarked, "See, looks like we're ok. Come on, let's go see the beds."

The first room they enter has huge canopied beds in deep reds and Will grins as he bows to her,

"Our 'ome for a time, me lady?"

"Certainly is, milord," She curtsied back, and then laughed to jump onto one of the beds.

"Been so long since I've seen a canopied bed!"

"Only seen 'em in castles, ne'er slept in one."

He looks rather young as he climbs in beside her and peers up.

"Well good time to start, isn't it?" She was flopped on her back, looking up.

"Man, this is great."

"Aye, tis." And then he pounces for more kisses.

She yelped, and laughed back at him.

"What happened to bed and sleep?"

"Can sleep later, 'ave to make sure the bed is properly comfy an told ye I brought supplies."

Raised eyebrows of ORLLY from her.

"...You know I meant more supplies of food, toiletries and other necessities like that, right?"

"Brought those too."

Then he kisses her on the nose and snuggles up beside her using puppy dog eyes of cute.

"Don't give me that look, it's not gonna work." Ok, that would sound more believable if she didn't look so amused by him.

"Oh aye?"

With a few gentle kisses he covers her face and ends on her lips.

"Mmm... ok you win. This time." She then pulled him closer for more kisses.
