This time when the black Impala tears down the road and into the driveway of the Cooper farm, it only has the one occupant, and he is a very pissed-off looking occupant.

Jo's freaking psychotic friends and their stupid freaking ideas, and Sam and his goddamn family, and goddamn Lawrence and freaking alterna-Dean -- he's had enough.

Dean's looking for something to hunt. And he's heard Oracle's got the best information around.

Dean doesn't smile in return.

"... don't," he says, shaking his head. "Don't thank me. Trust me, I'm sure as hell not doin' you a favour by tellin' you this shit."

It's just that --

-- he gets it.

Sokka lets out a breath that could have been a laugh, if it was even slightly amused. It's not.

"If you'd seen what I'd... what'd happened to her, in the last world... yeah, yeah, you're doing me a favor. Don't feel guilty about that."

He needs to set it all right, that's all.

Dean shakes his head, doesn't argue. No point.

He'll find out.

Dean doesn't really want to be here, either.

"Yeah. Uh -- cells don't work in this world, but if y'need ... I'm headin' east, I think. ... good luck."

Sokka blinks, surprised - but smiles.

"...thanks. I'm always here, just... let me know, f'you need back-up or anything."

The way he says it, he'd be there in a heartbeat if asked, but would just as soon send someone he thought was more qualified.

"Sure, yeah, I will," Dean says, polite.

That's enough goodbyes, right? This whole situation isn't one Dean wants to be in any longer than possible. He's heading back to the Impala now.

Sokka watches him go for a moment before picking up another one of the books, rubbing idly at his hair. It's getting long, needs a cut, he'll have to ask Steph later.

After another glance at the hellhound book, he tosses them all to the back of the car.

He needs Steph-time now.
