Sokka (the one in red silk) is in the Cooper house's kitchen.

Sokka has been there most of the time, except when he wasn't.

Sokka is likely to remain there.

Also? He has mostly disassembled the toaster.

Nobody told him not to!

"No kidding!" Jamie said finally breaking into a grin. "She sent me flying and that's because I got in the way of her and Layla."

Sokka snorts. "Who's this Layla? Maybe I should meet her."

"That would be me," said the blond girl stomping into the kitchen with her combat boots and striped leggings. "I'm Layla Miller. I know stuff."

Oooh. Another girl with that funny straw-coloured hair. Sokka peers at her interestedly.

"What sort of stuff?"

Layla pushed Jamie aside and pulled out some yogurt and grabbed some cereal. "Your name is Sokka and you're from the water tribe," she said as she poured some water into the yogurt and then poured the watery mixture into her cereal. "You have a sister named Katara. You have a friend named Aang who's the Avatar and a sword made from a meteor from outerspace. You also got beat up by a girl and had to wear a dress when she trained you to fight."

Sokka goes like this:

Although, y'know, more with the flailing of arms and legs, less with the actual letters.

"........ I DID NOT!"

Layla glared at Sokka before taking a bite of her cereal.

"Her name was Suki. You kissed her even though you weren't quite over princess moon-girl-in-sky. Do I need to say more?" she asked with her mouth full.

Sokka's response is suddenly less with the flailing and more with the dangerously-still :| face.

"Shut up."

"You did ask," she said looking at tad smug.

WHAT IS IT WITH THIS WORLD AND PEOPLE KNOWING STUFF ABOUT THINGS THEY SHOULDN'T >|

"Don't talk about her."

He glares at the (harmless) toaster bits spread out in front of him, and starts putting them back together.

Jamie gave Layla a look. "Layla..." he said in a warning tone. "We all know how fun it is to break my brain on a regular basis. What did we say about new people who can be our friends?"

Layla slumped a little and frowned. "Sorry," she said in a pouty way.

Sokka scowls. But he relaxes a little bit.

"Just ... don't."

Distraction time!

"How do you know this stuff?"

"Because I'm Layla Miller," she said sweetly.

"That doesn't explain anything!"

"Well I could tell you, but I'd be struck down dead if I did," Layla replied.

Sokka glares at her.

OBNOXIOUS SMALL GIRL >(

"What? You want me to die?"

"I just want you not to know stuff!"

Sokka would deny to the end of his days that his voice squeaks.

But it does.

She just gives him a grin.

"Don't worry. I know other stuff. And if you want I'll keep the stuff I just dropped a secret."

Sokka's jaw sets, and he looks very unimpressed again.

"You can't just go talking about people! Don't talk about anyone! That stuff's private!"

"Fine," she said with a shrug. "I'll just keep what I know about Zuko and Azula to myself then."

Sokka's eyebrows nearly hit his hairline.

"What do you know!?"

"I'm sorry. I'm not supposed to talk about anyone," she deadpanned. "It's private."

"ARGH!"

Sokka shoves the seat back and gets to his feet, growling.

"!!!"

STORMING OUT OF THE ROOM NOW. You can have the broken toaster. >(
