There is no jerking away, but Penance does stop attacking her apple, most of the core still hanging off one finger. Those wide blue eyes are flickering between Lucy and her claw, watching warily but making no move to stop her from touching.

Hand-and-claw make a funny little ticking sound when tapped together but Penance's hand doesn't seem to suffer for it.
