Barbara Gordon leans back in her chair rubbing at the bridge of her nose. She turns to Dinah, "I'm worried about Cassandra. I'm not sure this is the best thing she could choose to do. I mean--" she cuts off at rush of sound and light.

All of the computer monitors in the cabin have small blinking indicators "CONNECTION LOST". "Zinda?" her voice is calm, "What just hit us?"

"Yeah," Dinah agrees, to what was both said and unsaid.

She swings one leg over the bike and looks around forlornly before revving it up and heading towards the airport.

"I feel terrible saying this, Babs, but is there room on the Aerie One for a motorbike? I get the feeling I'll be doing this a lot."

"There's room," Barbara's voice is subdued. "We might need to see about getting some food and medical supplies while we're here too. I... suspect those are going to be both needed and hard to find."

"Oh god, I can't tell you how much I don't want to go looting."

She probably doesn't need to, either. "Do we need fuel?"

"Zinda's on it," Barbara replies. "Just... be thinking about alternatives to looting. Anything we take is going to be something that any survivors" and there have to be some, right!? "won't have available."

"Trade?" Dinah suggests, slowing down a little to give her time to look around. "Do we have anything we don't need we can leave? Or... hey, what about warehouses or something we can get to on the Aerie One that are harder for survivors on foot?"

"We don't have anything to trade. Yet. Warehouse might be a good call. At the least we can probably get to sites no survivors can. That wouldn't deprive them of supplies."

"You'd better have an explanation for what caused this, Oracle."

Partly, Dinah's joking. Mostly she's still shaken from seeing this much death and being unable to stop it.

"Working on it," Barbara sounds a bit less helpless than before. She's got purpose.

With another burst of speed, Dinah reaches the Aerie One, nips right up into it on her new stolen bike, and dismounts.

Then Barbara is pretty much getting glomped on from behind in her chair. Sometimes you just need a hug from your she-peeps.

Barbara responds automatically, reaching her arms back to hug Dinah awkwardly. "I'm glad you're here," she says after a while.

"Yeah, me too," Dinah says, resting her chin on Barbara's shoulders.

"It's horrible out there, Babs. We have to find survivors."

"There are some," Barbara says without any evidence. "People are survivors. They can't all be gone."

Another pair of arms joins the hug from behind, and Zinda sniffles.

"Guuuuys."

She doesn't have much else to say.

Dinah shuffles around expertly, to include the pilot in the hug.

"Hey, you."

It turns out that hugging a person who's behind you is awkward, and hugging two people behind you is very awkward, so Barbara lets her arms drop. "Did you find any fuel, Zinda?" Her business tone was back.

"Yeah. Dinky little airport they got here, but they got all the necessaries. We can make a base outta it, see if we can find anyone -- livin'."

Zinda sniffs again, arms still around both of them.

"It's awful out there."

"We'll find them," Dinah says, breaking apart to lean again on a piece of equipment.

"Or Babs will. I'm just going to keep hoping we don't run into Gandalf."

Barbara snorts, "I don't know. I bet he'd be pretty useful."

"I'd rather have the elf," Dinah returns. "Or- what's his name, the guy played by Sean Bean."

"I'm beginning to suspect," Barbara laughs, "That you didn't really pay attention to the movies." Dinah gets a teasing serious look, "You were just there for the eye candy, weren't you?"

Dinah throws her hands up.

"There's another point to those movies?"

"If there is, I never seen it." Zinda disappears into the cabin, scrubbing her face. "Are there more out there, Dinah?"

Dinah looks to Barbara.

"I didn't see any. What does the computer say?"

"Thermals are clear..." Barbara shakes her head, "I think it might be a good idea to move. Find somewhere we're more familiar with. I'll need a couple of hours to get a look at what things look like on the ground in Gotham and Metropolis, can we get fuel and supplies loaded up by then?"

Dinah sighs and runs a hand across her face again.

"Yeah. How about Zinda and I get all the fuel we can carry on board now?"
