Sonia is resting sulkily on the ground, breathing heavily. (This is pretty much what happens when you have giant second trimester belly. It is still v. annoying.)

"Exactly," Angela says.

"Till then, I'd just try and take care of yourself, and the baby."

"uuuugh... yeah..." She's still a touch nervous on that end.

Angela tentatively puts an arm around the other woman. "It's going to be okay," she promises. "We're all supposed to help each other here, aren't we?"

Otherwise, what's the point of everyone living so close?

"...sure hope so. Not that I'm much good for anything just now. Cain't even run anymore."

"Yeah, but you'll be able to again. It's sort of hard to lean on other people, isn't it?"

She laughs hollowly. "Just a little, yeah."

"Well, then you can repay the leaning with being leaned on later?"

Half shrug. "I dunno. It's supposed t'be safe here, and there ain't much I can really do, otherwise."

"Yeah...we kind of learned our lesson about going out in the world beyond the farm a few months ago."

She sighs. "Zombies are so not fun."

"I'd take 'em, if it meant somethin' for me t'DO."

She thinks that statement over, then amends, "I mean, I guess not, but..."

"Well, it would definitely be more difficult with this belly of yours."

She grins a little. "Maybe you should find a hobby that isn't fighting."

"...like what?"

She shrugs. "Anything you can do while sitting down and not moving? Like knitting?"

Angela gets a, "you've got to be kidding me" look.

She laughs a little. "Hey, I'm just putting it out there. You're obviously bored, but you can't exactly train like this."

"Yeah, but... I mean... knitting?! How'm I even gonna figure that out?"

"What? You're not stupid. It's not that hard. I'm the clumsiest person on the surface of the planet and I can do it."

Sonia is not sure she agrees with the "not stupid" part, but she'll take Angela's word for it.

"It's all twisty, though..."

"It's harder if you try to learn by diagrams...it's easier if someone shows you. You only need to learn two stitches to make a simple blanket, though. It's not so bad."

And hey! babies don't mind if the stitches are wonky.

"...really?"

It'd be something to do, anyway.

"Yeah! And it'd give you something to do while you're waiting for the baby. Plus, make a blanket for him or her. I'll be happy to show you!"

"a- all right... I mean, I guess it won't hurt to try, will it?"

"Nope, can't hurt to try." She grins over. "And it's really simple once you've got the hang of it."

"Sure." She manages a smile.

"Cool. I'll find some yarn and stuff somewhere, I'm sure." She could always go into the city. She hasn't done that yet.
