Suki is sitting in the shade of a big beech tree, a little way removed from the buildings and goings on of the main farmstead. It's safe to say that her time at the Cooper Farm has not started very well, what with meeting Sokka and finding out that he's not the one that she left behind at the Western Air Temple, and having to swallow the fact that he's with some other girl here. Hence why she's distinctly unhappy right now.

There are other Sokkas here, allegedly, but she refuses to get her hopes up about that. Meditation hasn't helped at all. So she's just sitting there in her Earth clothes, brooding, and looking nothing like the proud Kyoshi warrior that some folk know her to be.

"I don't see why not."

"Kyoshi Island was a fishing community. I did my fair share of physical labor there. And I'm pretty good at berry picking and things like that. I can learn anything that I haven't done before."

Her tone seems to say: how hard can it be?

Suki's a hard worker, whether it be warrior duties or any other jobs. In fact, she's so used to working that she's no idea what to do with herself when there's downtime. 'Play' and 'fun' are almost alien concepts to Suki.

"Talk to Mel, then," Toph tells her. "She's the one with babies."

"Alright. Thanks," Suki says, happy to have an objective in her life beyond finding a way home. Purpose is good, and very necessary for Suki.

"I'll go look for her now."

She springs to her feet with renewed vigor.

"See you around?"

"Sure," Toph says, waving a hand. "Good luck."

For now, Toph has some serious lying down to do.
