It took Sam about half an hour after he'd left the farm to realize he'd probably overreacted. And in the true fashion of ~~Winchesters~~ men everywhere, he decided the best course of action would be to wait until his brother forgot about it before going back.

He'd driven in a random direction before realizing there was nowhere to go. Maybe you're catching him on a pitstop out of Smallville, in some small town where it may or may not have been wise to stop. Or maybe you waited long enough to find him in Metropolis again, raiding book stores.

Eventually, he's got to find something useful. Right?

She shakes her head. "Nah, I've got my plane just outside town. Should really take that back to Metropolis."

Sam nods, thoughtful for a moment before adding, "Leah - did you meet her? She's set up in Metropolis. She can contact me if you need anything else."

"No," Jubes didn't meet Leah. There were distractions. "What does she look like?"

Lots of distractions. Which is why Sam doesn't even know what happened to Jubes and Dick after he passed out.

"She didn't come into the house, she stayed out with the car. Around this tall," a hand gestured at (Sam's) chest-height, "blonde with a scarf over her eyes."

Taller than Jubes, then. (She's tiny, she's come to terms with it. And she's not done growing)

She makes a note of the description, but still has to add, "that's a strange disguise."

"Disguise?" She just gets a blank frown for that.

"The scarf over her eyes," Jubes continues, waving vaguely in the area. She's out of costume, but there are sunglasses pushed up on her head, like a Security blanket.

"...isn't it to hide her identity?"

Why is he frowning?

Sam blinks at her.

"...no, it's because she's blind." He's starting to smile, though. He'd forgotten about superheroes somehow, in the rush of everything else going on, but now it's back to being funny. "Are you... you know, one of the people that goes around fighting crime in disguise?"

And spandex?

"Oh."

Right, blindness, of course. Jubes is both intensely fascinated by this and suddenly feeling a bit awkward.

To the question, she shakes her head quickly. "No."

It's the kind of 'no' that means 'yes but I'm not going to tell you.'

Sam is well-versed in that kind of 'no.' He's been using it pretty much his entire life.

But at least he looks more light-heartedly amused than likely to tease Jubilation at this point. He nods and leans back against his car again. "A lot of people used to be. I think Leah was one of them. Anyway, she'll know how to find me and my brother if you need us."

"And how do I find her?"

Jubes doesn't bother trying to figure out what kind of superhero a blind girl might be.She might be able to ask her directly.

Good question. Safety measures aside, it's really just not polite to tell a stranger directions to Leah's house. At least, not without warning Leah first.

"Do you have a radio?"

"Yeah," Jubes replies. She has one in her plane; it's how she first found Oracle.

Sam tells her how to find Leah's frequency easy enough. That, he knows, Leah won't mind. If anything, it'll be another point in her playful popularity war with Oracle.

"She goes by Innovator on the channel."

"Cool," Jubes says, with a confident smile.

"I'll let her know if anything weird happens."

"In this place?" Sam asks, smiling back at her. "Means you'll be on the line with her constantly."

For that, he gets a wider grin.

"I can handle most of it."

He'd snark, but he was hunting at her age, and he would have been terrified of a 14 year old Jo.

"Bet you can," seems like a much safer answer. Especially when it includes a smile and a confident nod.

"So, I'd better get on," Jubes adds, glancing down the road towards her parked plane.

"I'll find you if I need anything."

Sam nods - though the plane gets widened (possibly impressed) eyes.

"Yeah, no problem. I'll let you know if we find out anything, too."

It's not that impressive, but Jubes will admit that it is awesome in its way.

"Thanks. If Innovator can't find me, Oracle can."

It's a plane. That's cool no matter what model it is. She can fly.

"Got it." Sam smiles and waves to her before turning to his car. At least now he has an excuse to find Dean again.
