Intro type thing

"Agh, what the sprock?" Flash bang. One minute, he and Superman were getting ready to head back from the 30th century so that Kon could finally rejoin his friends and family after being dead of all things, and now he's... somewhere? He flies up to get a better view. Hawaii, apparently. Though it doesn't look like it did last time he was here. And Kal's nowhere in sight.

"How long was I dead?" he wonders aloud, looking around. "Uh, Superman?" He isn't quite shouting. But even a quick look around with a combination of x-ray and telescopic vision shows no bright red cape. "Kal? HELLO? ANYBODY?"

This is definitely Earth. Definitely Hawaii.

He isn't quite sure what to do now. So he starts flying towards Metropolis. Maybe Kal's there. Or someone at least.

"Oh! You're new! Right." Steph is used to this. New people, giving the story. (Even if it's not usually to Superboy.)

"Okay. I'm Steph. You're Superboy, obviously - uh, Kon. Tim told me that once. This world is - actually, we just call it 'the world' most of the time. But it's totally not our home world, and it's all been blown up, and -- okay, uh, let me think. Did you find the farm? In Smallville? With the cruise ship out the back, and the hospital and -- duh, of course you would, you would have lived there..."

Steph is quite good at talking. Apparently Kon isn't required to contribute. She perches on the gargoyle, blinking at the young man hanging in mid-air, grinning a little. 'Cause. Superboy.

"Ummmm." Steph leans back, looking at him more closely, eyes narrowed in thought.

"Do you recognise me at all? Wait, I don't think I ever took my mask off. It might make this conversation less confusing if I tell you I used to be Spoiler, though, right? ... maybe?"

Honestly, Spoiler seems so far away and long ago to her now that she can't imagine how anyone else would still remember the bratty girl in purple. But then apparently other-her gave it up and wore the red and green and gold instead anyway, so ... who knows, right?

Steph beams at him, glad that seems to have killed the awkward. "Oooh, lots of answers. Okay. I wasn't the chick Robin, but oh my God I wish I was. A different version of me was. And she's actually running around here somewhere, too."

She grins.

"I left Gotham when I was nearly seventeen, but way before anything bad happened - before I died, too, if you're from that timeline. Before you died, if you're from that one, which, guessing you are. Ummmmm.

"And yes, Tim's around, but .... not the Tim you knew." Her smile fades a lot when she gets to this part of the bubbly million-miles-a-minute explanation. "... not at all. He's, like, thirty, and he carries a gun. No, wait, carried. He didn't have it last time I saw him."

"... yeah, sorry." Steph winces for Kon's groany-noises. Even before she knew he was Tim, Robin was always talking about Superboy. She gets the impression they were really good friends. "He was Evil Future Batman. He definitely was."

She's just not going to mention the part where he made a frightening amount of sense or the part where she kind of agreed with him, either.

"But I think he's better now. Er, mostly. I mean, he's never going to be friends with Oracle, or even close friends with me, which is -- so bizarre, I mean, you know, he's Tim, right? Not being close with Tim is so weird. That boy saved my ass so many times. But ... he's different."

Steph nods, pushing her hair out of her face, drawing her legs up to sit cross-legged on the gargoyle. "At the farm. She kinda lives there. It's not like this world's really set up for her network of satellites and stuff. I think she kinda hates it, actually. But she's doing OK. Oh! Zinda and Canary and Hal Jordan, too. And D- and Nightwing, he's here. And this girl, an alternate-universe Robin, I think. Her name's Sparrow."
