There's a woman hanging around the Coopers' living room.

Yes, she looks like that.

Yes, she's dressed like that.

What? This is a good place to pick up boys! (Inanna discovered that yesterday.)

Eventually, makeouts slow. Not that either of them have a problem with having sex in public places, it's just enjoyable enough right now to be touching someone else.

Lots of touching. Angelo's enjoying that part.

"A'ight, so tell me this," he's saying after a while, leaning back and grinning while his runs his hands over her thighs, "what are you? Besides a shapeshifter, I mean - you a mutant, some kinda experiment thing like 46, what?"

Definitely lots of touching, yeah.

"Monstrum," she says, shrugging. "Won't mean anything to you if you're not from my world."

And since he asked what else besides--

"But basically it means the person this face belonged to first," and she flicks open a bracelet to demonstrate her original face, "died - y'don't need to know the details there, trust me - and came back after with a bunch of superpowers and an alternate personality, namely me. Her name's Iris. We get along pretty well. She's asleep, or I'd introduce you."

C'mon, we've been doing so well, don't freak out.

Also, don't freak out when you inevitably ask what the rest of this 'bunch' of superpowers are, exactly.

Other than looking a little weirded out at the prospect of another girl being inside the one currently in his lap, Angelo doesn't look overly concerned. Inanna's the shapeshifter, the alternate personality. So far as he knows, it's only Iris with the 'bunch of superpowers.'

So he smirks a little and takes hold of her wrist to lift her bracelets up for inspection. "So you always gotta wear these?"

"Yeah. This one's for the shapeshifting; the other one's for--"

Ehh. She'll deal with that later. Inanna shakes her head.

"Anyways, if I leave 'em off for too long it's bad news. The powers go all out of control. Not a good scene, trust me."

"Okay."

She was expecting some argument? Aside from a bit of uneasiness at the way she hesitated to explain the bracelets, Angelo's remarkably unconcerned.

And grinning about it a second later. "Your powers, your deal, bonita. We're not exactly picking out curtains, verdad?"

And that surprises a giggle out of her.

"Yeah, point."

She's starting to like this whole random-Spanish thing. If only she had a second language of her very own!

She could learn one! Or borrow his!

Until then, Angelo's going to grin when she giggles and lean forward for more kisses.

"I'm full of 'em."

Points, that is.

Kisses!

What were they talking about again?

...eh, it's not like either of them cares.

Because.

Kisses.

Talking really isn't important anymore. They can talk to anybody they want but so far as Angelo knows, it's just Inanna that's willing to get in his lap and kiss him senseless.

She doesn't need to do a great deal of kissing to get him there either.

"Hey," he says after a while, with a hand curled at her jaw and in her hair, grinning when he isn't kissing her. "What'm I supposed to call you? I gotta memorize all thousand names you got for every face?"

"Call me Inanna," she says, grinning back. "'S more or less my real name. The rest of 'em I just make up as I go along."

"M'I gonna get in trouble for letting people know what you do?" he asks, arching a brow and smirking. He's amused at pretty much anyone who tries to hide their powers - likely because he doesn't have the option.

"Nah," she says after a moment, shrugging. "I won't get mad."

Because Angelo's totally too cute to stay mad at. (Kiss!)

And if she's a little wistful at the idea of a world where you can go around having everyone know what you are-- she'll get over it, she's sure. After all, this world is shaping up to be like that.

Angelo wouldn't mind a world like that himself. It might mean he could get out of the car sometimes when they go to the city. Him and Jono.

But, apparently, in this particular Kansas, no one's too worried about who's a mutant and who isn't. And while that means that this certainly isn't the world he's used to, it's not the one with his friends and his family, it does mean his stay here might not be all that bad at all.

Especially if Inanna stays right where she is.

"Muy bueno," he murmurs, grinning at her. "Would hate t'get on your bad side."

"Of course," Inanna agrees, grinning back.

And kissing him again.

'Cause she can.

Yes, she can. She can all the time and Angelo won't make a single sound against it.

He'll make several sounds with it, though.

Inanna thinks that's just grand.

See?

...has the narration mentioned that she's a really good kisser?

'Cause this is still true.

She's doing an excellent job of reminding Angelo how to do all this. And he's not too shabby at it himself.

It helps that when Angelo wraps his arms around someone, he can really wrap his arms around them, and Inanna's held tight and secure, right up against him.

(he really, really doesn't want to let her go anytime soon)

She doesn't want to let him go, either!

And the arm-wrapping is just plain cute.
