Valerie Bell is uncharacteristically pensive.

Possibly this is because she just lugged a woman with a bullet wound in her stomach all the way here from God only knows where.

Possibly not.

Either way, she's staring at a plateful of cookies with considerably more rapt attention than a plateful of cookies strictly warrants.

A tentacle sneaks out to ruffle his hair.

"Don't be a cunt. Anyways, the only people around here who get to see me ecstatic are you 'n Steve." Grin! "F'different reasons, 'course."

"I should expect so." Laughing.

"C'mere."

Val sets the plate of cookies on the arm of the couch and beckons, grinning.

It's that grin.

The one that says the only reason she's not yanking him into her lap with a tentacle is because she already tried that, with limited success.

"I can't get into your lap. I'd crush you."

"So sit beside me, dork, that's why it's a couch."

Marley pouts, moving to sit next to her.

"Aww, don't give me that."

Clearly the remedy for pouting is kisses!

Marley deeply agrees with this remedy.

How fortunate.

So, Marley may possibly be pushing her down to lie on the sofa.

Maybe.

So, Val may possibly be grinning like a mad thing and letting herself be pushed down.

Maybe.

Marley laughs, a little, propping himself up on his elbows.

Val laughs back!

A tentacle wraps daintily around his head, tugging him down for a kiss.

She resists the obscure urge to make a look-ma-no-hands joke.

Marley appreciates no hands jokes, so he wouldn't mind too much, really.

Pity her mouth is kind of occupied, then.

Very true, very true.

Eventually, because Val firmly believes that patience is for other people, a glowing white tendril starts sneaking under Marley's shirt.

Glowing white tendrils don't sneak very well.

Marley chuckles a little, lifting one hand to play with Val's hair.

Playing with hair is good.

:D, goes Val.

Also ~, which is the ASCII way of saying 'hi Val's tentacle, meet Marley's chest'.

Marley approves of tentacles meeting chest, oddly enough.

There may be a hand moving down to slip under Val's shirt.

Val is trying so very hard not to make any hentai jokes.

Hard enough that his hand takes her by surprise, and she squeaks.

It's a good squeak.

Marley appreciates squeaking.

He takes a moment to experiment and see what might cause more amusing sounds.

Squeaks are a startlement thing, and therefore not repeated now that she's onto his little tricks.

She is, however, slightly ticklish. So if he happens to brush his hand across her ribs in just the right way, giggling will ensue.

It doesn't take long for Marley to brush his hand that way. There may be a small grin at the giggling.

Val grins back, another of her eloquent grins that transmit whole sentences without her ever having to engage her vocal apparatus.

This one says: 'Dammit, that wasn't funny, but I'm having way too much fun making out to get pissed at you over the little things... okay, and it kind of was funny, too. A little.'
