Lenore is perched on a couch inside the Cooper household, hugging her knees to her chest.

She's got the hood of her sweatshirt tugged over her head and is resting her chin atop her knees.

Her eyes are closed -- maybe she's napping?

Maybe.

"Hello," Iroh offers as he walks through the living room. For an old man he moves pretty quietly, but the unmistakable scent of tea serves to let anyone nearby know he's around.

"Tea?" he offers.

"No thank you," she says, barely lifting her head to look at him.

"I'm not much of a tea drinker."

"A pity," Iroh says somewhat theatrically. "Tea is such a wonderful thing, after all. It sooths the soul."

She gives him a skeptical look.

"It is true," Iroh grins as he catches her look.

"I drink water. That's about it."

This one isn't much of a talker.

"That is too bad," Iroh shrugs. Then, "My name is Iroh."

"I'm Lenore."

She eyes him.

"You're not from this century."

"An astute observation," Iroh nods. "I am not even sure what century this is."

"... good point," she mutters, slowly glancing around her surroundings.

"Where're you from?"

"The Fire Nation. I rather doubt you have heard of it. Few others here seem to have."

"Nope," she says.

"I'm from D.C. Nothing special."

"I am not even sure where that is," Iroh responds with a chuckle.

"You wouldn't like it," she adds, straightening a little. "It's a piece of shit city full of scum."

Bitter much?

"Oh," Iroh frowns. "That certainly sounds unpleasant."

"You have no idea."

She tilts her head at him.

"Tell me, Iroh, how is your Nation governed?"

"The Fire Lord tells people what to do and throws them in prison if they do not do it." Iroh is, needless to say, not a huge fan of this system.
