During the night, Will and Kate talk, and Sam searches for car parts and works to recover. There's a building on the waterfront in San Francisco, it used to be a fancy restaurant now its just a ruin.

At the moment, its a place to rest with smoke coming out of its chimney while inside Sam, Kate and Will take turns resting and recovering. Alcatraz is quiet across the water and Winter still lays over the city by the Bay.

"Aye, I agree with Sam, we're 'urtin' an already fought 'gainst 'er yesterday an dinna come out ahead. Best to go back to Kansas where tis other fighters who can 'elp us."

He gives Kate's hand a squeeze and runs his thumb along her hand.

Kate gets a Look from Venom, but he doesn't comment. Instead, he frowns. "We would rather free those she has captured as quickly as possible...but you have a point."

Kate was quiet at Sam's comments. She was looking to revenge on some levels, and did want to make up for not being able to free the slaves before. Also, the fact that Venom seemed to be basically agreeing? Was really weird right now.

But then something else occurred to her.

"And if we wait, how do we know she's not going to try to follow us back to Kansas somehow?" She quietly asked, her grip tightening on Will's hand a little.

"We don't. We have to hope she doesn't." Sam says. "And if she does, then hopefully we'll be able to deal with her there. No shortage of fighters."

"Aye, an lots o'folks with powers an all. If we go in with too few tis a good chance, we'll just end up in trouble 'gain."

He returns the grip and even lifts her hand to kiss it to try and reassure her.

"So how do we return to Kansas, then? Most of the cars outside looked too frozen to be useful."

"We had a car, it just needs to be repaired. Sam?"

He hasn't let go of Kate's hand yet and probably won't till there's a need.

"We can't help with any repairs, but we can keep watch, just in case. Just because we haven't seen anything yet means nothing."
