Observe Val.
She's out back of the Cooper house with a loop of colored string, doing complicated things to it.
This is what boredom looks like.
Also, some of those aren't physically possible for a human to produce. (Hey, if you've got arbitrarily-appearing light-tentacles, use 'em.)

His approach to looking for people, however, is a little unorthodox. Rather than stick to being on foot, he's gone to the high ground to get a better look at the area as a whole. And in this case, the high ground happens to be the house itself. Venom makes his way around the the corner of the house, looking down from the rooftop.
And there's somebody down there now. He peers downwards-and as he does, he does his usual drooling thing. Look out below?

"...Oh, you have got to be fucking kidding me."

Venom sounds a little bit snide-but his first meetings with people lately have been less than stellar. He'd been hoping for a change of pace.

She seems more exasperated than frightened or angry, however.
What? He's not attacking anyone. She doesn't feel like starting fights. New world, new rules.

The teeth revert to fangs as he makes his way down the side of the house, peering at us. "So you've heard of us?"

Val shrugs, twirling and tugging and transferring the string from finger to finger until it forms into a shape like a child's drawing of a house, which upon a clever release fades into two simple arrowheads that flee towards either hand.
She keeps meaning to think up a witty title for that one involving anger and insurance salesmen, but never quite manages something catchy enough.
"I'm Val. Nice to meet you. Venom, right?"

Grin.
"'Sides, you've never been to Toronto, I'm guessing."
no subject
He frowns. "We can't say it was a pleasant surprise."

Sympathy? Did he fly from Metropolis to Toronto and back looking for his twin brother in a panic? No? Then no.

Wait, scratch that tag.
"I'll think about it. Not so fond of fighting fairies, on the whole."
no subject
"But Ericpups all over the place would be AWESOME! C'moooooon, pretty please with kisses and ice cream on top? Yeah, thought so. I totally wear the pants in this relationship, don't I."Yeah.
"Up to you. I'm going along for shits and giggles. Apparently no matter where I go, I'm the tank of the team."
no subject
"Hey! I totally wear the pants here. I'm going to go sulk at Steve now."So.
"Fairies do sound very giggly."
no subject
"Can't. He's busy getting felt up by the tallish guy with the eyebrows."Indeed.
"Yeah, I'm betting these aren't the buttercup kind. They sounded more like the child-stealing, people-enslaving, call-them-the-Fair-Folk-and-back-away-slowly kind."
no subject
"Pfffft. He can take a break."Well.
"Those're always fun."
no subject
"Like hell he can."no subject
She grins.
"Since the whole weather-guy thing never panned out, I've been itching for one of those."
