Multi-pup post

Somewhere over the skies of Metropolis, somebody was flying overhead, and observing everything. Nathan Petrelli's had some weird encounters of late, but that wasn't going to stop him from continuing to do surveillance. And just take advantage of the relatively quiet skies.
--------------------

Kate Bishop was practicing her archery shots on the Cooper farm, but she was standing further back from the targets than usual. And yet still reaching the target with precision.

-------------------

Maria Venkman was on the Cooper farm as well now, casually walking around. She's pretty sure there's more around than what it seems like at first. A lot more. Just had to look for it.

-------------------

Xander Harris was humming something rather poppy as he was currently sawing some pieces of wood also on the farm, and nailing them together. Looked like a storage chest. He will deny any similarities the song has to samples from the latter boy band oeuvre.

-------------------

Alfred Bester was walking aways from the farm, his head tilted to the side casually. Getting in some exercise, and fresh air he would say. Listening to the background noise of thoughts of the few dwelling around. Amazing what you can learn when people think all their minds are that private.

(ooc: If you see the EP, it's open and taggable. Just indicate who you want to talk to in your tag, thxs!)

Thrust is back on the farm again-- whatever he and Lucy did while they were out was apparently fun, at least if you can read Vehicon body language. Okay, sure, he's got a couple of claw marks on his sides (were he in his alt mode, it'd look like somebody with sharp claws was holding on for dear life), but he's also relaxed and downright cheerful as he hauls his refuelling station closer to the storm cellar.

The storm cellar is now his energon storage facility, see.

Who does Thrust want to meet? Well, Thrust doesn't really care, though he's curious about meeting more human males. He's only met three, so far, and four females, and he's keeping track of his impressions. (So far, one male is 'generally all right,' one is 'all right,' and one is 'would be all right but his social mores are made of ARGH,' while the females break down into two 'all right,' one 'very all right,' and one Lucy, who is in a class by herself now. In case anyone was curious.)

Granted, he hasn't met a pre-adult human yet, either, and the big pink robot hauling the small tower made of streetlight pole segments and small appliances is certainly not something you'd expect to see on your average overgrown farm.

((So, you know, uh, tag Xander or Maria, unless a wandering hot pink robot is the sort of thing that would catch Kate's attention. Whatever's good, whoever's bored-- Thrust doesn't care so long as he doesn't take major structural damage.))

Then Xander was noticing. not sure the hot pink color, but ooooh Transformer robot!

He might have briefly hummed the cartoon theme song as he finished up his work.

Hey, hot pink is a very manly color on Cybertron! It's the color of long-spilled energon. Shoot, it's practically goth.

But since it looks like Thrust's path-of-hauling has dragged him past a human, well, clearly the polite thing to do is at least nod and say, "Hey."

So he does.

And no, Thrust's greetings don't really get longer than that, not even when he doesn't have his hands full.

Xander was looking up and up, and that one working eyeball was blinking a lot. And there was slight itch in the socket hidden behind the eyepatch, also trying to blink too.

"Wow... uh hi!"

[identity profile] vehicon-thrust.livejournal.com 2008-02-10 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
"Lemme guess. First time seein' a robot?"

He doesn't sound like a robot, really. He sounds like a blues singer (the kind you'd find in a three-piece suit singin' how his baby left him, perhaps for an ugly purple condor) or a bouncer or something. Course, for as full of gravel as his voice is, he at least sounds friendly.

[identity profile] thexanwhosees.livejournal.com 2008-02-10 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
"Not exactly." Xander was trying to maintain his cool. He's an adult now after all.

Right, inward fanboy is not going OMGTRANSFORMERAWESOME! Suuuure.

[identity profile] vehicon-thrust.livejournal.com 2008-02-10 05:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Very adult indeed. The narration would make mention of the year Thrust's series premiered, but the narrator is at least two years older than Xander and got up early on Saturday mornings to tape it.

"Yeah? That's a first." He thinks. Thomas and Eden had asked him what faction he was after he transformed, but the factions they'd asked about had been antique by Thrust's reckoning, so...

[identity profile] thexanwhosees.livejournal.com 2008-02-10 06:35 pm (UTC)(link)
"Is it?" Xander thought for a moment. Don't mention the show, don't mention the show.

"Any other Autobots around here?"

Damn!

[identity profile] vehicon-thrust.livejournal.com 2008-02-10 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
"Sorry, kid, wrong faction and a couple of vorns too late. I'm a Vehicon."

If a little lacking in the whole kill-crush-destroy attitde one might expect from a Decepticon tossed into the wrong continuity. In fact, he almost sounds amused.

[identity profile] thexanwhosees.livejournal.com 2008-02-10 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Xander's eye narrowed a little. He's in his twenties now. Had held down a job, and making rent payments. Ok, never mind that both are at the bottom of a crater, and he's been busy assisting the Slayers United front in Scotland now. Anyway, he's not a kid.

"Sorry, probably been getting that lot, huh?"

[identity profile] vehicon-thrust.livejournal.com 2008-02-11 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
And Thrust is maybe nine months old, for all he sounds a lot older. He's just a kid-saying kind of guy. Even if he does figure the serious-face is more about the 'con portion of Vehicon. (He doesn't know much about Great War history, especially the last battles on and around Earth, but he knows that Autobots were mostly ground-based, so it'd be easy to confuse him with one, and that Decepticons were not human-friendly.)

"Three times, now," Thrust admits, and this is three times out of... call it seven, because Stephen met him forewarned. "Gotta admit, it's just been good to know I don't have to explain my species."
