Sam is being musical.

Which is to say he's up on the roof of the farmhouse with a leaf at his lips playing a slow, pleasant tune. He does that a lot. It's a thing.

"Cheers," she says, lifting it up and toasting him.

"Cheers. I'm going to go see if there's any food."

"Call out if something eats you first."

"If you here me shrieking, that'll be why."

"Want me to rescue you?"

"I'm sure I'll manage to get out myself." Sam replies, wandering away into another room.

She clicks her fingers in disappointment, watches him go, and drinks her beer.

Interesting place.

The blood on the walls really adds to the ambience.

No, she isn't being sarcastic.

Josh is like that.

Sam returns after a moment.
"I come bearing crisps." Holding them up. "And there's a couple of curries heating up - Apparently curries are the only thing this place has, apart from crisps and alcohol."

"Crisps! And then I loved you."

"Lots of people do. Partly because of my good looks and charisma." Solemnly.

"But, see, I'm special. I love you for your crisps."

Beat.

"And the hot flying car."

"I feel so used." Beat. "Used."

"I'm sorry."

"You should be." With a graveness that is slightly ruined by the big grin on his face.

Pause. For good measure: "Used."

She pets her elbows on the bartop, raises an eyebrow.

"Could kiss it better."

Sam considers this.
"You could." Agreeably.

"Might have to come closer, though."

"True." Sam says, agreeably, wandering closer.

And for his efforts, he gets one of Josh's hands around the back of his neck as she kisses him. Very, very soundly.

Sam is pleased by this development, and happy to return the kiss.

Returning things is important, after all.

Things given are returned two-fold, and all of that. So, yes. Very important. Which is why Josh is smiling as she breaks it.

"Feeling better?"

"Much. I'll go check on those curries."

"If you must."

"I must." Solemnly. "Be right back."

"Mmm, 'kay."
