Kate had glanced toward the noticeboard, but the flying thing was nothing she could help out with. Even though, if there was some way to get to England for Will, just so he could see his forest again.

In the meantime, she out back practicing with her bow on a makeshift range using bales. Wishing she could do more. Hard to be a hero here, and find out the best way to help others around here.

When Sam materialises out of the stream of gold light-smoke that settles down next to Kate, he looks like Will, right down to the mannerisms and clothes. It's not an attempt to trick Kate, he's just in one of those moods where he wants to be just a tiny bit mischevious.

Which is to say - A bad mood, and possibly one where he doesn't want to look like himself.

"Hey. You seem to spend a whole lot of time practicing with your bow." His voice has the rather odd effect of sounding like somebody overlaid his own voice over Will's.

"Not much else to do right now, and just want to keep in shape."

Her eyes did soften a little as she lowered her bow to look at him, and smiled warmly, "Hi, didn't hear you come up. What's with your voice? You all right?" Reaching up to touch his cheek.

Sam steps back from the touch.
"Okay. Wrong form to take." He momentarily wanders outside of her line of sight. If she looks at him again, she'll see that this time he's taken her form instead.

"...What the hell? ...Teddy. No wait, he wouldn't know about Will yet. Sam."

Her eyes then frowned, "That was a dirty trick."

"I didn't think you'd be fooled. I would've used Will's voice," The last two words are, indeed, said in Will's voice, without any trace of Sam's. He pauses, coughing into his hand. "Bad day. Lots of blood. Don't really want people to see."

"Just a bit distracted I guess."

She frowned more, but out of concern this time instead of anger.

"You going to be all right? Do you need anything?"

"No, I'm good. Just borrowing people's forms until I'm cleaned up." Sam replies, mildly.

"Do you have to?"

"I'd prefer to, I'm really not a pleasant sight right now."

"...How bad is it? Like burns or resembling hamburger?" Worried expression.

"Not that bad." Sam replies, switching back to Will's form. "If I were you, I wouldn't worry about it."

She sighed, "All right... but can you look like anything other than him, please? It's really weird."

Sam pauses, thoughtfully.
"I can see how it would be." He settles back into Kate's form. "Better?"

"Sort of?" It was odd seeing herself, and she peered closer. She didn't think her nose looked that pointy. Strange.

"Is my nose really like that?"

Dryly: "Yes, your nose is really like that."

Small smile, "Sorry, just not used to seeing my face like this."

"Most people aren't." Sagely.

"Point."

She then asked, "How often do you get days like this?"

"Not often. Usually not without me overexerting myself. Sometimes my powers go out, though - Happened inconveniently during a spar with Venom." Beat. "That was fun. I need to find him for a rematch."

"Yeah? Give him a few extra punches for me when you do."

"He's quite a nice guy, actually. When the tables turned and I was all powerless, he was nice enough to ask quite a lot if I wanted to stop the spar."

"Really? Sorry, I'm really not used to it, I mean, he's a murderer and supervillain in my time. Can't imagine him ever being nice."

"He helped us with the fairies, too, remember."

"I know, I know."

"And he'd make a great third guy if I wanted to drag Will to the city for a guy's night of alcohol-drinking and stuff."

"....He would?"

"Yeah! I'm not sure if he can get drunk, but if he can't, then at least somebody will be sober enough to drive us back to the farm."

"You think he can be trusted that much?"

"Of course I do. Did we not just establish how nice he is?"

"Well you did. I'm just... I don't know. Maybe."

"Maybe you two should go on holiday together."

She nearly snorted at that idea, "No thanks. I'd rather focus on trying to get Will to Sherwood somehow. I just hope it's there in this world."

"Venom could go with you."

"I don't know how long we'd be there. It might be a while, depending how easy it is to back and forth."

"I'd offer to take you in the flying car, leave, and then come back and get you when you want to go, but I'd have to create something for you to contact me with first."

Grateful look, "It's all right. That's why I'm keeping an eye out for an easier way. Especially since not sure how the car would be going over an ocean."

"The flying." Sam points out. "It's useful. Of course there is always the possibility that my powers will cut out and we'll plummet to our dooms."

Kate nodded, "Hence why it wouldn't be fair to make you go so far. You did enough last trip."

"Possibly. I'd consider infusing some of my blood with magic so that you could use that to fuel the car and go on your own, but the amount it'd require would probably involve draining me dry. I want to be helpful, but not that helpful."

She grimaced at that, "I'll pass, no offense. Shame there's no teleporters around here. Be a lot easier." Even if the process tended to make her sick to her stomach when Billy did it.

"There must be a teleporter around here somewhere."

"Well keeping a look out for one. Or maybe I should post something to that new noticeboard."

She frowned, "Hmmm... maybe that's too selfish to do so though. Just want to help Will somehow, and think it would be good for him."
