[ooc: So okay. Dream sequence post! If you want your pup to have a wacky dream sequence involving meeting Intuition, tag away! If you want more information about what the heck I'm talking about, ping at pythianhabenero!]
Intuition is dreaming.
For the first time since becoming human, she's dreaming as herself, properly abstract - drifting through the fantastic realms of the human subconscious, brushing up against a thought here, touching down in a familiarly unfamiliar landscape there.
Perhaps the next dream she touches will be yours.
Perhaps it won't.

"Everything's gone."
There is a breeze, and Lenore watches as the dust and ash blow between them.
"Except for us. Why?"
no subject
Intuition shrugs.
"Something happened to this world. An uncontrollable exchange. I was brought in from somewhere else. I used to be more than I am. Some of what came here did... this."
Thoughtfully, she adds, "But not to Kansas. That was saved, somehow. There are no transfers there, nor have been since the first day."
no subject
She knows what she means, but never thought she'd hear it in such a way.
There's another gust, a harsher one. Lenore shivers.
"I'm scared," she says, voice barely a whisper.
no subject
It's honest, at least.
"But you'll have help. There's someone close by."
Meditatively, she adds, "She'll help you get to Kansas, I think."

The ones who keep chasing her, who keep finding her and hurting her, the ones she'd do anything to get revenge on --
She feels strangely vulnerable, all of a sudden.

There's certainty in that voice, and a glint of rainbows in the landscape around them. Inty knows.

"I'm... free, then?"
no subject
There's the oddly comforting sound of flapping wings, and a single jewel-bright hummingbird peeks out from beneath some rubble, taking a few careful hops towards Lenore.
Intuition giggles.
no subject
She can't remember the last time she laughed, either.
no subject
All around, there are blades of grass and tiny little flowers emerging shyly from the rubble, seeming to grow in surreptitious lurches whenever they're under no direct scrutiny.
no subject
I don't want to wake up.
"I wish... this would really happen."
no subject
"Not everywhere in the world is like this."
As she speaks, the surreptitious grass grows more quickly, until they're standing in a calm field that looks as though nothing bad has ever happened to it in the history of time.
"Some," she says, sweeping a hand out at the changed landscape, "is like this instead."
...Don't look now, Lenore, but there's a slightly beat-up cargo liner sitting in the ground some distance behind you, half-buried as though it's learned to float in grass instead of water. Inty frowns at it, then laughs helplessly.
"It would appear reality is intruding on my metaphor," she says, rueful.
no subject
"Reality isn't allowed in dreams," she mutters, taking a small step away from it.

With a wave of her hand, she dismisses the boat. Old engines groan to life, and it slowly turns and glides away, parting the earth in waves and leaving behind it a wake of tulips.
"There. All better."
no subject
"You... can't be real."
no subject
Headtilt.
"Just because you're dreaming me at the moment doesn't mean I don't exist. Just ask Bridgette."
no subject
"Bridgette? The girl who'll help me?"
