Intuition is dreaming.

For the first time since becoming human, she's dreaming as herself, properly abstract - drifting through the fantastic realms of the human subconscious, brushing up against a thought here, touching down in a familiarly unfamiliar landscape there.

Perhaps the next dream she touches will be yours.

Perhaps it won't.

The moment that Clark finally gets close enough to Chloe for a kiss is, of course, the moment when the dream does change. It shifts into a field this time, possibly somewhere near Smallville.

Chloe's looking for something now. Although she isn't sure what.

The shift expresses itself for Inty as a change back into her landscape-self.

She's quite okay with that - and she's also quite okay with waiting to see just what Chloe's seeking. Sometimes things don't come to Intuition right away. They're often more interesting for the wait.

It turns out to be a spaceship. Clark had mentioned that there was one somewhere near the Cooper residence.

She can't find it though. no matter how long she keeps searching, it seems elusive.

So, finally, Chloe decides to take a break. The grass is kind of nice out here -- much better than in any Metropolis park.

"It's not here," says Intuition, sitting on the grass beside her.

She wasn't there a moment ago.

Dreams are like that.

Chloe looks at her, mildly suspicious. "Who are you?"

"Intuition."

Shrug.

"That's not exactly a name," Chloe answers slowly. "Come on, seriously. Who are you?"

" " she says with great equanimity.

"If you say so," Chloe says with a shrug. She's not really in the mood to argue. "Still a weird name."

When Inty speaks rainbows there is nothing to argue. The truth is self-evident.

"So it is," Intuition agrees. "That doesn't make it any less mine."

Which, of course, only leads to the next question. "So, why Intuition?"

"Because that's who I am," she responds, shrugging.

Who and what, really.

"Intuition is more of a feeling than a personification, you know."

"Yes and no."

A second shrug.

"I am abstract, to some degree. Less so than I used to be, but still in essence."

"Explain further?"

"I am a personification of the concept of intuition."

Sigh.

"When I came here, I - became human, at least partly. It was unpleasant." With a rueful smile, "Biology can be startling."

"So where did you come from then?"

"Another Earth. I was - visiting Gabriel's parents."

She ducks her head and blushes, incongruously, pink shading cheeks lit by green-blue light.

"Gabriel's my friend."

...It should be fairly obvious that he's a little more than that.

Chloe nods, smirking a little bit at that. "And?"

"His mother wasn't--"

"She called me a hussy."

Yes, Inty's still upset about this.

"Oh." Chloe wrinkles her nose, looking over at Intuition with a rather 'huh?' sort of face. This has to be one of the strangest dreams ever.

"That kind of sucks."

"Yes."

She's reluctant to expound further. This isn't one of her favourite memories (http://notmostpeople.livejournal.com/2159.html?thread=15215#t15215).

"Oh," Chloe says with a shrug. The lack of response is kind of defeating in a dream. She's not up to being her normal inquisitive self in dreams.

"Sorry to bring up such a cheerless subject," Intuition adds. "We could talk about Clark, instead. That's going well for you."

Most people would say 'I hear that's going well for you', or 'that's going well for you, isn't it?'. This is Inty. She knows.

"Yeah, it totally is," she answers with a smile. And then shakes her head, looking at Inty with renewed curiosity. "You know him?"
