...yeah, it just occurred to Stephen that he counts as a flier. You know, seeing as he owns an antigravitational device and is reaching the final leg of jet construction.
Go team him?
Anyway, he's now having a look around for Nathan Petrelli (the real one, please and thanks), for whom he also has some news on the making-holes-in-reality front. Not terribly exciting news, but a plan, at least. (He's also keeping an eye out for Thrust, for the purposes of getting blueprints. Yes, he's building a fighter jet and a kind of cross-reality teleport and a bit of alien robot tech in the same lifetime. It's possible that he's overbooked himself.) Plus: he's totally botherable by anyone with a hankering to chat.
Catch him anywhere, twirling a well-used spanner between his fingers and humming to himself as he walks.
[ooc: slowtimes will be the order of the day, I am afraid.]

Stephen grins (there seems to be an awful lot of that going on. His jaw is starting to complain), fairly impressed. This world seems to specialise in kindred spirits for the jobbing inventor. "You might just be a godsend," he informs Sokka. "Post-apocalyptic worlds aren't famed for the quality of their salvage. I don't know how we've gotten the computer put together," he adds confidentially.
ZOMG HELPING HAND. (Yes, he managed to build Vader I by himself back home, but he never said he did it quickly.)

"You have a computer?" THIS IS SOKKA'S HAPPY FACE, LET HIM SHOW YOU IT. It's not remarkably different from every other face Steve has seen so far, but it is a little different! "What kind? The box and monitor or like a flexie?"
Flexie plz?

"The second," says Steve, who is terribly pleased at having elicited Sokka's Happy Face. "It's for calculating altitude, velocity, targeting-- well, everything the jet'll need to do. Or at least it will be, once it's not up to its figurative eyeballs in bugs."

BUT THAT'S OKAY.
Sokka beams and that expression certainly isn't going anywhere anytime soon. "Awesome," Sokka proclaims this - the jet, the guy making it, the general situation, the world at this exact moment in time. "Are you building it just because or for something in particular? Like tool-retrieval."

With the air of imparting some great secret: "He beat her at something."
Damned if he knows what, of course; he's assuming another race. Thankfully for his sanity, he never found out about the whole losing-consciousness-in-midair thing.

Yes, indeed.
Sokka grins and if it isn't quite as bright as usual, it could be attributed to a lack of interest in robots, or an overabundance of angst about sisters.
But really, the latter, since ROBOTS ARE AWESOME.
"Is that the pink one? Man, everyone's met him but me. When are you racing?"
CAN HE BE AUDIENCE PLZ?
no subject
"A flying one, actually." YES, SOKKA. THERE ARE TWO AWESOME ROBOTS. "And just the very second I get this thing finished."
And yes. Yes he can be an audience, provided he can run very very fast.
no subject
DUDE, HE HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN HANGING AROUND THE WRONG FARM-OCCUPANTS.
Hopefully they'll be racing on a track, so running-very-fast isn't an issue, though.
no subject
...um, Sokka? Flying robot. Fighter jet. It's... probably not going to be a track race.
no subject
Sokka beams. "I'm going to meet at least one of them," he vows, vry srs.
"Though I guess they probably wouldn't like being taken apart to see how they work, huh?"
