Maybe she thought to surprise him. Or maybe she was just curious to see who else lived in the Cooper household. Either way, Chloe pulls her Volkswagen Beetle up in front of the house. She checks her reflection quickly in the rear view mirror before smiling and stepping out.

As she walks towards the front door, she can't help but look around for that supposed space ship. If Clark is home, she's totally making him show it to her.

If he isn't? Well, she can totally have fun getting to know his friends at any rate.

Chloe waves back, lifting eyebrows in curiosity. "Hey! You live here?"

"Yeah. You don't?"

Honestly it's surprising. Dreamer was beginning to think everyone lived here.

"My boyfriend does," she answers as she walks over. "Tall, blue eyes, has a tendency to dress in primary colors? He's kind of hard to miss."

When she stops in front of Dreamer, Chloe holds out a hand. "Chloe Sullivan."

"Right, Clark." She smiles absently as she shakes Chloe's hand. Her own are marked with scattered cuts and bruises, all fresh. Dreamer doesn't really pay much attention when she injures herself. "Didn't know he had a girlfriend. I'm Dreamer."

"It's kind of a recent development." Chloe glances down at the cuts and bruises. "Um, you do know about those, don't you?"

"...Know about what?"

She's confused.

"All those cuts and bruises on your hand?"

"Huh?"

She looks down.

"Oh, those. Whatever." Shrug. "I was..."

Dreamer searches for the activity that could possibly have caused those, shrugs, and tries: "Gardening?"

She's a terrible liar.

Too bad for her that Chloe is a good reporter.

"Really? I've never seen gardening result in that."

"Okay, fine, I have no idea," she admits. "Whatever. Does it matter?"

She's trying out that whole normality thing.

It's not working well.

Chloe shrugs. "It could."

She refrains from making any sort of rude comment -- for once.

Instead, she settles with a simple: "Why?"

She's not going to get out of this one with a shrug, is she.

Nonetheless Dreamer tries.

Chloe just eyes her. "Well?"

Sigh.

"I'm trained to ignore pain, okay? It's a thing. Comes in handy sometimes."

Chloe senses a story. Poor Dreamer.

"By who?

"Someone. Where I came from. Which wasn't here."

Dreamer can be reticent when she tries.
