Maybe she thought to surprise him. Or maybe she was just curious to see who else lived in the Cooper household. Either way, Chloe pulls her Volkswagen Beetle up in front of the house. She checks her reflection quickly in the rear view mirror before smiling and stepping out.

As she walks towards the front door, she can't help but look around for that supposed space ship. If Clark is home, she's totally making him show it to her.

If he isn't? Well, she can totally have fun getting to know his friends at any rate.

"Damn," she replies. "I was kind of hoping for something a little more exciting."

But hey, a missing spaceship's still a possible lead. "Do you have any idea where yours went to?"

Clark half shrugs, half shakes his head.

"We kept it in the storm cellar over there," he nods toward a patch of land a ways out, "but it's not in that one. I guess the me here took it to California when he moved, but that part of the state is, well, it isn't anymore. I couldn't find anything when I went to look.

He frowns. "Probably in the ocean somewhere. I should go look again."

"You should," Chloe encourages. "I could see if they guys have heard anything about any spaceships too, if you want."

He nods hesitantly. "Yeah, can't hurt. I really do kind of need it. Or part of it, anyway."

"It's gotta be here somewhere." She smiles at him softly, placing a hand on his forearm. "We'll totally find it."

He smiles down at her hand and then leans down to give her a quick kiss. "I hope so. I think if you and I put our mids to it, we could find just about anything."

Chloe beams at the kiss. "I like that assessment. A lot."

"You could come with me, if you wanted," he suggests, attempting to maintain a air of casualty.

She chuckles. "Is that supposed to be the sort of offer that's hard to say no to?"

"It's the sort of offer I hope you say yes to, but if you don't, I'll understand."

"I'm not going to pass up a chance to go someplace with you, Clark." Chloe beams. "Consider it a yes."

"Good," he smiles down at her, slipping an arm around her waist. "It'd be kind of boring all by myself."

"I kind of doubt that," she answers as she rests her head against him. "Something tells me that knowing you isn't going to be boring at all."

"Oh, come on," he teases, "I'm just as boring as the average superpowered alien."

She laughs. "Right."

"If we ever find another one, you'll see," he insists. "I'm just a run-of-the-mill boring, every day extraterrestrial."

"I still don't beleive that," she answers. "At all."

"Weeeelll," he drawls, stepping in front of her and sliding his hands around her back. "I might be a more exciting kisser." And then he leans down again to perhaps prove his point.

It's certainly a point well proved. And well appreciated, for that matter.

Chloe kisses him back, holding his head in place as she does so.

Clark is just glad he'd walked them a ways from the house where they're alone. Or at least mostly out of sight.

He takes advantage of that to slip his hands under her shirt at the back to pull her closer and deepen the kiss.

That gets a giggle when they break for air. "Someone's becoming more daring."

He smiles, leaning his forehead against hers. "What, I'm not allowed to kiss my ... you?"

She totally caught that. "Your what, Clark?"

"You. Chloe."

Then he adds, quietly and maybe just a little hopefully, "Girlfriend?"

"Tarzan speech aside," she starts, blushing a tiny bit, "I kind of like that idea."
