Metropolis is basically, yeah, Zinda's favourite place. It's hopping with life, people and parties and shops, and it's crammed full of folk who know the world's ended and just want to party.

Which suits the Birds fine.

Chaney's is a well-known meta club in Zinda's world, and apparently that much held true through the apocalypse; the inside is crammed full of humans and metas both, dancing and drinking and making a hell of a lot of noise. Zinda would really kinda like to be inside with them. Where the hell's the rest of her party?

Goldy and Claire should be out of the bathroom any time soon. Dinah and Babs are still off somewhere doin' something. It's not like Spoiler and her Not-My-Boyfriend-Zinda-Okay to be late for a rendezvouz; vaguely, Zinda's beginning to worry for anyone in their immediate vicinity, should they have found trouble. But everyone'll turn up soon, surely.

In the meantime: there's a tall, statesque blonde in uniform with a ridiculously short skirt, leaning on the bricks outside Chaney's and surreptitiously lighting a cigarette while the Skipper's not around.

Dinah follows only vaguely reluctantly, trying to hang back.

"Aren't we forgetting someone?"

Zinda eyes her. "The story's that good?

"Okay! But you gotta go crack the Skipper away from the menfolk in there, 'cos I'm not getting in between them."

"You're turning down the opportunity to crack at men?"

What's going on? WHERE'S THE REAL ZINDA?

"Hey." Zinda narrows her eyes. "There's men, and then there's your sister's men!"

She would never interrupt Babs in the process of getting some action.

"But I wanted to watch..."

Babs, food, food Babs...

Rick's wins!

"We have to get him some lobster," Dinah tells Zinda as they go that way. "he let me try the sauce he makes and oh my god."

"Yeah? I always thought his pepper steak was the best he offered. Lobster, eh?"

"Not unless he can find the suppliers," Dinah says sadly. "He can't get it fresh anymore."

Zinda eyes her.

"Where would I find fresh lobster this time of year?"

Dinah shrugs.

"What do I know about lobster? I just eat it!"

"You better learn," Zinda informs her, smirking. "I'm not goin' fishing without someone to gut th'things for me.

"... do lobster get gutted?"

"Don't they just get dropped into the boiling pot?"

Dinah knows how to hurt things and she knows flowers and motorcycles. The rest of her education has been rather lacking.

"I haven't got a clue." Zinda grins over at her. "But if I find out, I'll provide Rick with some, just for you.

"Provided you catch me up on the gossip, of course."

Dinah wraps an arm around Zinda and hugs her tight.

"The kids are going to be with us as soon as they break out of jail."

"...?"

"Jack caught them causing a disturbance by jumping off buildings. I wouldn't know about it except i had to go and drop off our would-be assailant."

Zinda snorts with absolute delight.

"Oh geez, the poor kids. Do they need a rescue?"

"If they do, I'll be very disappointed in Steph," Dinah says. "The girl was a Robin. Will be a Robin. Anyway, if she can't get out of a police cell after I've asked Jack not to waste too much energy doing so, then she deserves to spend a night in it."

Zinda laughs. "You're harsh. I like it."

"Harsh but fair," Dinah informs her. "Did I tell you she wanted to be my sidekick for a while? Then I got ditched as soon as Batman showed the least bit of interest."

"Well, I'd ditch you for the big boss too," Zinda says fairly, and grins. "I reckon we could've used her, too, back when. Maybe looked after her better."

Not that she'd ever imply criticism of Batman, but -- well, Zinda only met the Birds after that big war, but she saw the pictures and she saw how broke up Batgirl was about it.

"That's because you, Lady Blackhawk, are a fickle little harpy," Dinah says, with oodles of love.

"You better believe we would. She belongs in Oracle's band of displaced heroines. Look at everything she did for Helena."

Undid most of Batman's damage, for one.
