Jo ended up with the Winchester's for the night. Her bike parked off to the side of the double Impala tracks.
Unsurprisingly, it was infuriatingly easy for five people to end up under each others feet moving around in a house.
Needing to escape the muddle of Winchesters, Jo is sitting on the porch steps drinking a glass of tea Mary handed her on the way out.

A reign of blood and slaughter
We show our foes no quarter
Taking their lives and watching them die
Jack took a while before he figured out that that slot in the dashboard corresponded to shiny discs he's been finding while pillaging, and it took him even longer to find music he actually liked.
We leave our fears behind
Only treasure on our minds
He pulls out outside the porch and leans on an elbow out of the open window.
"Ahoy there."

The smile is quirky with amusement.
"Hey. Nice wheels."

"My thanks, my lady. She sees me through."
He loves his Coraline. But in a healthy man-and-truck way that doesn't prevent him from spreading love around generously among people.

At least everywhere but here. The bike isn't under ownership yet.
Her hands get thrust half in her jean pockets, with a nod back to the house behind. "They expecting you?"
no subject
And really, he considers, who'd blame him? He glances towards the house for a quick reading, comes up with nothing threatening, and grins back at Jo.
"Jack Hollins is me."
no subject
It's far better than cranky Winchesters.
Especially too many of them in one small space.
Stopping a few feet from him and his colorful car. "Jo."
no subject
He bows, but with a wry twinkly in his eye designed to imply that the bow isn't meant to be taken that seriously.
"And are you native to this world, or a traveller from another?"
no subject
Not quite breaking into a laugh, but her eyes are bright.
"Traveller." Safe enough answer. "You?"
no subject
"The same," he replies. "Here for many months now, and still I've yet to grow tired of the place."
no subject
Because the interest was real enough.
Eyebrows raised. "What's not to be missed out there?"
no subject
Jack thinks this is all the greatest fun ever.

This time there is a laugh somewhere in all the description.
"Man after my own heart. Can't say I see myself staying in the quiet here very long with all that."
This is probably a half truth, complicatedly. Because she does believe it, and yet some part of her knows she won't leave them behind anytime soon.
no subject
Now, he only hesitates a little bit.
"Would I were here when you decide to tire of the quiet, I'd show you the best fighting grounds."

And drinks beer.
Also, slouches down beside her to crack it open, apparently ignoring her presence.
no subject
Obviously he was the asshole encroaching on her space.

Followed by a patented roll of her eyes.
And she just takes a long slow sip of his mom's tea.
"You wanna be more fuckin' specific? Or would you like me start with the theatrical drawing of my mother's womb?"

The kind of glare that would make weaker men's balls shrivel and die.
"You asked for it."
no subject
Dean's balls fear nothing!
no subject
"Be glad I didn't shoot you then. An' while you're at it, shove off if you're just here to be a dick."
no subject
"What the hell happened?"
no subject
Because he's being all serious face at her.
She was considering him, without looking away.
"I went somewhere that made home look tame."
no subject
"Guess I can forgive the gunhappy reflex, then," he acknowledges, after a few moments. Then, perhaps feeling that this was not manly enough, he adds "but don't ever try it again, a'ight?"
no subject
She made a gesture with her free hand across her chest and lap.
"Afraid you can't take me now?"
