At another time, a little later than the first time, the Cooper farm finds itself presented with yet another carload of newcomers.
At least these don't apparently plan to stay -- and certainly wouldn't seem to have close bonds, the way they're all three bitching at each other, or the way the car doors slam in order as they get out and immediately stalk in different directions.

Dean goes very still, when he spots her. Still and calm, like the ocean just before the cyclone hits.
One hand slides around to his back, for his gun.
no subject
She knows that movement and goes very, very still herself.

He's never heard of harpies bringing anything but trouble.
On the other hand ... he's never met one before. And there were those vampires that didn't drink human blood, back -- wherever. And this isn't exactly a normal hunt.
Still ...
Tap tap tap, fingers on the hood. Shoot first, or wait and possibly get clawed up?
no subject
Sadly, given she's stressed, this means her brass claws scratch the rooftiles.
no subject
He doesn't shoot. Not yet.
... not quite yet.
no subject
He gets to turn and look. They both can. But the guns up still, being cocked again before he turns, and it's not aimed to the side of his head.
"You're gonna back away from her nice and slow."
no subject
This doesn't mean that, latter, Jo is going to be asked Questions.
no subject
His gun doesn't move from Medusa.
"Psycho fucking bitch," he growls at Jo. "Gimme a reason. One that's not 'I'll shoot you,' 'cos I don't think you will."
no subject
"Prickhole Bastard!" The gun gets shoved into her jacket and she lunges for Dean, all int he same moment. She's going to slam them straight into the car with all her strength.
And, look, she really doesn't give a damn.
no subject
She lives here.
He's here. And the part of her that is queen knows that they need to sort things out. And the other...
Jo.
So, she jumps down off the roof, lands in a crouch-gets-to-her-feet, and watches for now.
no subject
Oh, except for where she's trying to kill him. That bit's less cool.
"Get the fuck off me, it's comin'!"
no subject
She thinks Dean should be too.
"You have better things to worry about."
Especially when she's busy aiming a punch squarely at his ear. Its not a prime spot for knocking someone out, but it does fuck a hell lot with equilibrium.

Medusa has a voice like a flute. Normally, it's a pretty, soprano thing. When she gets angry, though, it starts edging up.
Get her furious, and it's shatter glass time.
no subject
Also: OW.
Dean glares from one to the other, rubbing the back of his head where it met the Impala and -- still glaring.
"You sure fuckin' look like an it," he informs her, pushing Jo.
no subject
Dean gets punched.
Again. Harder. Same place.
"Her name is Medusa. And if you lay a finger on her or point a gun at her without cause again I will beat your fucking ass into the fucking ground."
Jo may not look any more stable than she sounds at this point. But she doesn't look any less capable of carrying out her threat either.
no subject
Yes. Questions. Later.
"And I live here. If you do not like, ask Lucy."
no subject
... which Dean will totally do, and not feel bad about it at all, no way. In a minute. He'll just ... let her do her thing first.
(psycho fucking bitch.)
"Who's Lucy?" he asks, sharply.
no subject
And Jo seemed to figure out a few seconds later than anyone else. Her hands loosening, barely brushing Dean's shoulders....which shouldn't have been lower than hers, should they?
She blinked, confusion mixing into her anger, looking over, across, for--
--someone who wasn't the girl staring at her.
no subject
"This is her house."
no subject
And not reaching for his gun again -- although he looks like he wants to.
"Really now."
no subject
She'll think about that part later.
She's still not saying anything either.
no subject
"Yes. Clark's house from another world." Beat. "He's the...back up?"
no subject
Dean rubs his ear gingerly. Jo's got a punch on her.
no subject
She still managed not to look him. Her brown eyes, pools of amber sap, flicker down, away, back to Medusa. Bare second passing.
"Maybe."
Or he'll walk away (again) now.
They both might. (This time.)
no subject
And with that, she turns and walks back inside.
