At another time, a little later than the first time, the Cooper farm finds itself presented with yet another carload of newcomers.

At least these don't apparently plan to stay -- and certainly wouldn't seem to have close bonds, the way they're all three bitching at each other, or the way the car doors slam in order as they get out and immediately stalk in different directions.

"Pretty copper haired lass, wheelchair," Jack says helpfully. "If she's at the farm, find her on the porch most likely. Otherwise she and her ladies fly in an airship."

Also--wheel chair and airship? In one breath? The hell?

"The food," Jack informs her. It's still the best place for global fresh food. "And the girl changes into a dragon."

Jo shoved her hands half in her pockets.

"Smallville. Farm world. I was banking on Clark Kent."

Jack tilts his own head with a puzzled smile as he tries to make sense of this development. The smile slowly grows as he does so.

She smirked, tilting her head.

"There'a a hot chic named Lois Lane with him by any chance?"

And is there anyway she looks like Terry Thatcher?

Jack laughs out of his nose and gives her a friendly shove in the shoulder.

"Tell me how you know."

She'd love to blame the multiverse, because she blames everything she can on it, but--

"Pop culture." She's smirking a little more broadly and gives a shove back. Simply because she can. And he started it.

Obviously he doesn't really know what pop culture is, but even while Jack smirks at her return, he checks her words about Clark to what he's seen about Clark and the house itself, and arrives at something highly amusing.

"This world is a ridiculous one."

Beat.

"All worlds."

He likes it.

Jo gave him an odd look wondering where the comment came from exactly, but she nodded.

"Yup. Only get weirder too."

Jack thinks weirdness and confusion and chaos are the best things ever, seriously.

That made her smile.

Cuz really what could be better? She had her meeting to come and Jack was going to jump ship and follow them home! Which totally meant monsters....or at least crazy hijinks talking.

Thus smiling, crookedly.

"Got other folks with me, too. Room mate you can't miss. Rachel. Tall, willowy, blonde amazon who's really pretty as long you don't point it out." She looked thoughtful, a label of descriptors went through her head, but she smirked against it. "And Dean. So it might be a day or two before they're ready."

This is... well, it's only bad if Jo meeting Iris would be bad, and Jack only doesn't want it out of habit.

A girl in every port is only helpful if the girls stay in their own ports.

So he ignores it, grinning happily.

"Aye, that will give me time to sweet talk my captor into release."

Jack sweeps a hand around in a wide gesture to indicate the back of the house and the kitchen.

"Inside," he says, and heads in that direction.

Jo followed after him, with a bounce in her step and her hair as the wind shuffled around them. The idea of food that was not stale or canned was rather intriguing all on its own.
