The bridge of the Aerie One
Sparrow doesn't like this plane. It's too big and too comfy and not at all what Heroes like Dick says Barbara is should be flying in. Also, she doesn't really like the fact that she slept here, and not on her own plane. Sure, the sofas are more comfy then in her cape on the floor, but her cape and costume are on the other plane and she feels undressed.
BUT. These computers she's found are awesome. So because no one's told her what she is and isn't allowed to touch, she's having a nosy.
And she still hasn't taken her shades off.

He leans over to tug her hair, smiling.

"Yeah... me, too."

Then it slips back into her usual businesslike one as she changes the subject (she hates being awkward), "So, what do you think of Sparrow?"

Dick thinks she's a new little sister, really.
"Good kid. Sharp, angry. Reminds me of Jason a little. More of myself."

Dick isn't suprised. Babs picks up on everything.
"In her world, I exist. And apparently, I kill people." Grimace, shrug. "You, too, I'd guess."

"So, how are you holding up, anyway?"

He says it without meaning to be charming, merely stating an obvious sort of fact.
"Gotham's a mess -- have you seen? Of course you have -- that's where I headed first, and that's where I met Sparrow. She'd heard there was something in Metropolis, and some sort of window god told me to head for Kansas. -- By the way, Metropolis is in Kansas."
WEIRD.
"Some sort of farm, apparently."
no subject
"Yeah. Metropolis is, somehow, much the same despite being in the middle of nowhere. The farm, as far as I can tell, is ground zero for whatever protective bubble keeps portals from appearing in Kansas. It's... a very odd place."
