It's been a long time since Momiji - this Momiji, at least - found himself stuck as a rabbit. And he can't remember ever waking up as one, but, today, this is exactly what's happened. Just squirming out from underneath the covers had proved a very fearful adventure. And, as if things couldn't get any worse...he hasn't turned back.
Not after the usual five or so minutes of waiting idly on his bed. Not after another fifteen. By the time his internal clock told him he was probably approaching the half-hour mark, he was in something of a panic.
Which is why, now, there's a little, white-furred rabbit hopping through Hogwarts in an awful hurry. Maybe there'll be someone who can explain why a curse he thought was broken is suddenly reasserting itself like mad. Though, with his luck, he thinks, he'll probably turn back in the middle of the hall, a mile or two away from his clothes.
Not a good morning, overall.

There is now a young pursuer after the rabbit. "Hey, come back!"
Bunnies are great.

This is possibly not the complete truth, but at least she means it when she says it.

"Er, hi," he says aloud, without moving his mouth.
no subject
"Who're you?" He is going to be scooped up unless he takes evasive action. Just FYI.

The rabbit's voice has a markedly Japanese accent, though his English is proper enough to be easily understandable.
But, in any case, he stays still, possibly because he figures that it's safer to be off the floor away from threatening feet. Or because he doesn't want to be chased down and captured.
"...I'm kinda lost."
Not that he knew where he was going, to start with.

Laura is all about fuzzy animals.
"Did you just get here? Like, from home?"
no subject
"Yesterday. But I woke back up as a rabbit, this morning."
He's not even going to try to explain his history of turning into a rabbit, at this point.
no subject
Hmmm...
"Did a witch cast a spell on you?" This is totally a likely scenario.

His ears fidget, and he slumps into the girl's arms with an audible whimper that a normal bunny totally couldn't make.
"Or I was. It hadn't happened for a long time."

The bunny-boy raises his head up a little, staring down the hallway in the direction that they're facing.
"I was hoping someone would know what's going on."
Fat chance, really, but he wasn't thinking clearly.
no subject
"Nobody knows for real, though, because everyone here's from somewhere else."
no subject
Momiji's noticed that already, from the bleak sound of his voice. Still, he resolves with a sudden squirm to make the best of it...he'll have to turn back sometime, right? Maybe his mind's just exaggerating how long it's been.
"Er...is there anywhere I can get clothes, maybe? I only have what I showed up with."
And now they're dirty. Ick.

It isn't so much a question as a quiet, little bemoaning of something he already knows is true.
"...Maybe I'll go when I'm not a bunny."

This will have to be rectified as soon as he's no longer all fuzzy, perhaps.
"Oh, yeah," he perks up, all of a sudden, "What's your name? I forgot to ask."

There is a quick rabbit-nuzzle offered to one of the girl's arms. After all, there are much worse people he could've bumped into, this morning.
Like a really hungry person. Eep.
no subject
"If you want, I guess I could show you around."
no subject
Momiji does his best to nod, though it's not a very natural motion for a rabbit.
"I've only seen the way from the door to the bedrooms. But the girl I met was going to show me her map!"

"And the girl I talked to said the stairs move around and everything."

Marvel as the incredible rabbit-boy shifts around to look up at his new acquaintance/present mode of transportation!
"Or is it all scary stuff and work and things?"
Not that he still considers hide-and-seek a necessary part of life at seventeen or anything.

The rabbit swivels his head, glancing around at the various halls and stairwells they're passing, trying to keep at least some sense of what's around them, as he goes.

Garo hasn't seen any animals in Hogwarts yet.
He crouches down to give Momiji a closer look.
no subject
"Hello," he notes nervously. The word is said aloud, despite the fact that he seemingly has no way of speaking as such.

"Uhm, can you help me? I don't know where anything is."
Let alone what he ought to be looking for.

He goes quiet for a moment, before sinking onto the floor, laying against it.
"But I shouldn't be a rabbit! I was hoping somebody could..."
He trails off.
Yeah, he has no idea what he was hoping, actually.

There are big rabbit eyes pointed up at the man, before the rabbit hops closer. Obviously, he needs a plan other than "run around until someone magically fixes things."
"Do you think you could carry me back to where the beds are, maybe? The stairs were really hard to get down."

There's a great deal of squirming as the bunny tries to get comfortable as he's carted around.

The rabbit hops happily out of Garo's grip, nosing around on the bed in hopes that he's gotten lucky and this is the one that he got out of earlier. It takes a bit of poking his head under the covers, but he eventually confirms this hope to be false.
"Er, sorry for bugging you. What's your name, though?"
no subject
Well, it has been for the past few months, at least.

He's interrupted by a sudden sound perhaps best approximated as POOF, accompanied by a burst of dry, odorless, purple-gray smoke that billows out from underneath the covers he's still half-obscured by.
The strange smog dissipates with abnormal speed, leaving a suddenly chipper, blond, young man in his late teens sitting on the bed, blanket pulled up to his shoulders and wrapped around himself.
"Hah, I'm normal again!"
Well, maybe "normal" is the wrong word.

Momiji keeps the bedcovers around him as he heads over to the place he slept, starting to rummage for his clothes there and then beginning to dress at an awkward angle.
After a few seconds, he emerges, significantly less furry and significantly more frilly than he was in rabbit form.
"There! All better."
no subject
"That happen a lot to you?"
no subject
Momiji gives an awkward shrug, taking a second to right the stolen blankets he was using to cover up on their proper bed. Once they're settled, he idly puts a hand out towards Garo, his other going behind his head to rub ruefully at his neck.
"Sorry we had to meet up over somethin' so weird."
