Steph is in the sunny loungeroom of the Cooper farmhouse, bent over a notebook. The sewing machine is set up beside her and there's a bag of rather eggplant-coloured cloth at her feet, but she's still in the planning stage, lost in her scribbles.

AFFECTION FROM ABOVE.

Boyfriends with cuddle attacks are AWESOME and the notebook gets abandoned instantly, pages of Steph's neat handwriting and pages of costume designs spilling out as the spine hits the floor.
"mmmm. hello."

"Hi. Whatcha doin'?"

The writing is mostly awkward, anxious worrying about the whole killing-people thing. It's been on her mind. But the costume designs are way more interesting, she hopes.
Slightly modified Spoiler outfits, like she was wearing when she fell out of the sky that day in Eden. Heavily modified ones. A drafted Robin one, with a smiley face beside it. A Batman one. Lots of ideas.
"Both. Definitely both."

And frowns a lot.
"...you wanna go out being a crazy crimefighter again?"
no subject
She doesn't like the lots-of-frowny!
"Maybe. There's lots of crime in Metropolis."
no subject
He kisses her instead because that's much safer.
"I don't think these outfits are tight enough. I think you should take some lessons from Dinah, personally. Specifically, leg-covering lessons."
no subject
"But what if I get shot in the legs? I'd be very sexy but I'd be dead."
no subject
And pausing.
"...actually, maybe the outfit you go out in should look just like your Spoiler suit. But design another one that's just for us, okay?"
no subject
"...I am totally going to do that," she decides, giggling. "You're so going to regret asking. ... Except that you're not, 'cos it'll be super hot.
"I'm not going to Metropolis for a while, anyway. Not till the harvest's over and Mel doesn't need me. You wanna come?"
Please want to come!

It is a nice loungeroom. "Hey Steph! I didn't know you sewed."

She comes over to hug her friend around the shoulders. "Superhero costumes, eh?"
no subject
"I'm just thinking about making one now."
no subject
Because Steph just doesn't do that stuff for pretend.

"Yeah, I've been having this, I dunno, you can't have a midlife crisis when you're eighteen, can you? But I think it'd be good to get back to normal, clear my head a bit."
And normal, for Steph, is rooftop-running in a mask and cape.
... what, that's totally normal.

She grins. Life isn't ever going to be any semblance of what it was before for her. But it's not bad at all.
"I can totally understand wanting to be back to normal. Sort of why I write all those how-to thingies. At least it's some sort of writing and it'll help people out."
Someday, anyway.
